Thanks for checking out my super clean and hard to find 76 terra scout with removable top listed at NO RESERVE!! Please read fully and check out all the 128 large and detailed pics i have on the 2 listed links. Ebay only lests me post 24 here i have taken a pic of every square inch of this scout from top to bottom because I Don't Want The New Buyer or I To Have Any Surprises When They Show Up To Take The scout Home. http://img822.imageshack.us/g/img3496s.jpg/ and http://img21.imageshack.us/g/img3431r0.jpg/ I have taken close up pics of both good and bad because i want this to be a good transaction for the both of us so please ask any and all questions so you know this is the one for you!! 1976 was the first year for the scout traveler and terra which is a slightly longer version of the scout ll. The terra is a factory pick-up style with a full removable fiberglass roof which can also be swapped out for the full top if you wish to convert it to a traveler very easily. The terra's are very hard to find and especially this clean and unmolested. It comes with the original manuals and brochures issued at purchase when it was new!! BODY/EXTERIOR- Nice solid and straight body that is very shinny and gets lots of eye ball and compliments due to how factory original it is. It has had a full exterior repaint of its original fire orange paint job along with a tan coat on the top to accent it several years ago. The paint is very well sprayed and is as smooth as glass with new 1980 style IH decals applied to the fenders. There is not a single dent on the body but it has had several little chips from use over the years, mainly located in a couple spots on the bed rails, 2 little ones on passenger side of upper quarter panel by door handle and a couple on the end caps. On the passenger side of teh grill there is a indent that was painted over but it is mostly covered by the chrome trim ring. Very solid body , but there is some bubbling from either rust starting or is condensation between the medal and paint on the lower end of rear quarters between the door and rear tires. The front floors are nice and solid but the rears as you can see has had small amounts cut out by passenger wheel well and access panel was cut in floor to fix gas gauge, but rear floors after wheels wells is nice and sound and the little areas that are affected are very common so there is panels made for pretty cheap, or you can cover it up with rubber mat and just leave it. Overall this scout looks excellent and would make anyone proud to own and drive. INTERIOR- The interior is 100% original except the repaint to the door panels and dash pad to match the top. Inside of this scout is incredible an shows very little wear on the factory rubber mat, foot pedals and seat. Even the factory radio and under dash light work. All gauges are clear and work properly. The seat has just very slight cracks on driver side from just simple age and material brake down, but compare it to most other 76's out there!! DRIVE-TRAIN- The motor is the original 304 8cyl with 727 auto transmission with a super clean and well maintained engine bay. This little scout runs and drives very nice but is all original 1976 from what i can tell so it seeps a little here and there, but nothing major. It runs and drives very good and dependable and i just did a full tune-up, oil change, valve cover gaskets, coolant hoses, fresh exhaust and front brakes with new calipers to assure it is driver ready for new owner!!:) OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS TO MAKE NOTE OF- This scout is not restored and never has been so please do expect one. I have no documents on the miles but have owned tons of classics and especially IH's and by the really clean firewall and engine bay along with the very little wear on the near flawless interior i believe the miles to be actual. Most scouts i have owned that are unrestored have pretty rough seats and floor mat along with many items hacked up and that's why i keep a constant eye out for the clean examples like this 76, but use your own judgment. I do have replacement door locks that i have not yet installed but they come with and match the ignition key. All of these above mentioned items can be seen in close ups in link so please check them out. This scout looks very nice, fires right up,drives nice and hasn't been chopped up so it is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come!! I hope I and all the close up pics have done the job to describe this rig the most true and honest possible!! GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER NO RESERVE SO IF YOU NEED MORE PICS OR QUESTIONS DON'T HESITATE TO ASK
