Up for auction is a 1989 Isuzu S model Pickup with only 62,500 original miles. I am the second owner. It has a 2.3L 4 cyl. with a five speed manual transmission. The truck has extensive rust on the frame and under truck(see pics). About a year ago I thought the truck had a bad shock because the truck would oscillate up and down when I hit a bump in the road. So I took the truck into the shop and was told the right front radius arm was broken and left front link pin was broken from extensive rust. The mechanic told me I could keep driving the truck but to take it easy. I still drive the truck several times a week(errands, haul stuff here and there). As far as I know the frame cannot be fixed. Therefore I am kind of selling this truck as a parts vehicle. This truck can be driven home but I feel only by someone living in Ohio where I live and no further. Though I do feel it can be driven much further I do not want to be responsible in case the truck encounters any problems. Other than that someone should make arrangements for transporting the truck. But again, I do drive the truck almost daily. The truck was bought new in 1989 by a retiree whom I have known for many years. I bought the truck from him in 2002 to use as a second vehicle. I have only put about 11,000 miles on it since I have owned it. It has been a dependable truck. The engine runs good. It doesn't leak or burn oil/smoke. It starts on the coldest of days. Nice engine, solid. Always has clean oil(regular oil changes). The interior is grey and in overall good condition. The drivers side floor has rips and the floorboard is rusting thru(see pic- shows hole in floorboard). Behind the seat the floor has rust(see pic). This is just the base model so no options (no-a/c, pwr windows/doors/steering). Everything works well- good clutch, heater, lights(interior and exterior) as well as all other controls. Brakes work well(brakes will eventually need work but at moment work well). The body is in fair conditon with some rust and bodywork(see pics). All bodywork done by previous owner. The truck has good glass(no chips, cracks). The tires only have around 20,000 miles on them with good tread(see pic) but they need to be rotated(the front tires have slight edge wear since the ailignment is out from rust damage). Earlier this year I had a new exhaust installed for around $300(shown in pic) that hasn't seen snow or salt. Known problems - Extensive rust, needs tire rotation, eventually some brake work. Alignment out(because of front frame rust damage). Also the previous owner broke the key off in the drivers side door. I have 2 spares. There are a lot of good parts on this truck and I hope someone can find a use for it. Anyone who is able to come look at the truck is more than welcome to(before auction end).
