i bought MY 1972 Ford Galaxie over a year ago for $1500 and have since put a lot of money into restoring it and upgrading it. She has a brand new 400 cubic inch (6.6 Liter) motor with an upgraded intake.The Factory was 2 barrel carb and now she has a 4bbl Holley 600cfm double pumper with chrome valve covers and chrome breather. Also she has an upgraded mallory ignition/coil system with 8mm plug wires. I also installed an inline fuel filter to help with gunk entering the carb. There is about 4,000 miles on the new motor and the car reads 69,000 miles on the odometer. (I believe this is not a rolled over number of the mileage because of the condition of the vehicle at time of purchase.) The interior is in dang near show condition except it needs new carpet installed but that is no biggie. There is a minor crack on the dashboard on the passenger side. The paint job is less than a year old and is in good condition with only minor scratches etc. The car has dual exhaust all the way back with 2, 40 series flowmaster mufflers that can be heard from a good distance but not overwhelmingly loud. It has a 3 speed automatic transmission that feels brand new, it shifts super smooth even when you put your foot to the floor. I just put 4 new tires on the car about 1,000 miles ago that ran me $450. The a/c does not blow cold I just didnt have the time and money to get it repaired but I do know it is the upgraded a/c system (r134a) and most likely is a quick fix for someone that knows a/c's. All lights work with the exception of the dome light and one turn signal light on the inside,the horn works and also I installed an alarm system that has key less entry installed in the 2 front doors. The key chain alarm goes off when the car alarm goes off so thats a nice feature to have with a panic button inside the car if pressed the key chain will alert you that something is wrong. I currently use my Galaxie as a daily driver and need something else for myself and my family and just do not have any more use for this beautiful classic. I did have 22" rims on her but had to sell them to buy the new motor. The old motor had some pistons go bad from sitting for awhile before I bought it. The rims fit nicely and do not scrub or anything on this big body. The lug pattern is 5x4.5 and is not a hard rim to find because its common with fords. The car has all new brakes installed on all wheels and rotors and also 4 brand new shocks that make her ride smooth. This car has a ton of horse power and will keep up with most cars on the road I know because I have tried :-D ... The battery is under a year old, and I have changed out the majority of the hoses and all of the belts. The only thing I have not gotten to is the trunk. It has a huge trunk but the floor of it is corroded out due to the car sitting for a few years before I bought it. I do not have the transmission kickdown lever installed but that is no big deal it jsut does not down shift when you put your foot to the floor when in 2nd or 3rd gear. I have learned that buying and fixing up an old car is a very expensive hobby and really need to sell my car asap due to financial and economical reasons, whoever wins this bid for this green machine will have a very reliable 90% done classic car with a lot of power and you will not be disappointed.
