Thank you for your interest in this beautiful Westfalia Campmobile, it was recently restored to the condition it's now in with no expense spared to make it reliable and beautiful with many new parts installed throughout as well as new paint inside and out from the original L 90 D paint code{Pastel White} for this bus. The bus spent the majority of it existence in dry sunny Arizona until January of 2010 when i purchased it and had it transported here to southern Florida. According to the M-plate code it arrived in the USA at the Los Angeles California port. It retains all it's original body panels and none have been welded on since it was new from the factory in Germany and the battery tray is original to the bus. It was stripped down to a shell and every mechanical system was updated for reliability with new parts replaced in every area. As well as new grease applied to every component requiring it. The front axel has new balljoints, tierods, steering dampener,and the rubber coupler on steering box shaft is new as well. The shift rod was removed and new bushings installed. Windshield wiper motor was removed and new grease applied to the wiper shafts and all seals were replaced. The brake system has new rubber hoses on all four corners as well as new wheel cylinders on the rear, turned rear hubs, new brake shoes and new ceramic front brake pads as well as new brake fluid. The shocks are new. The tires are brand new load range D 8 ply including the spare. The fuel gauge sending unit in the fuel tank is new, new fuel pump as well. All fuel and vent lines are new, new rubber elbow on fuel filler neck as well. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned to bare metal inside as well. The transmission has new seals on the main shaft and shifting shaft and is filled with new gear lube.Clutch and throttle cable are new. Rear wheel bearing seals are new. The 2000cc engine was freshened with a new clutch disk, pressure plate and throughout bearing, new rod bearings, new rings, new exhaust valves and guides, and a complete valve job as well, all new seals and gaskets, new muffler system, new plugs, new electronic ignition, new head temp. sensor, and new oil, air, andfuel filters as well. The fuel injection system is stock from the factory and not modified in any way. No oil leaks and no smoking. This was the first year for hydraulic lifters so no constant adjusting like the earlier models. The interior is totally redone with all new headliner, all new panels, including the two front doors, new front seat upholstery, new curtains, new childs cot, new carpet throughout, and all cabinets have been relaminated. The rear cushion covers are original and were taken off and laundered and it comes with the original rear hatch mosquito net. The exterior has a new windshield, new rear bumper, new side mirrors, new VW enblem, new antenna, new rubbers on all the windows except the front doors, new sliding door seal and new rear hatch and engine lid seal, new sliding door hinge cover seals on both sides of bus. There are many more new parts installed throughout the bus such as rear lenses and all four side marker lenses and it goes on and on. Anything that was needed to be replaced was. It comes with an original owners manual as well as original jack, lugwrench and hubcap puller which is all stored under the passenger seat. The front passenger seat swivels around to face the rear. Everything is in working order on the bus including the heater, wipers, horn, all lights and gauges, and sink pump. It shifts nice and tight like a new bus would. I have added 55 pictures in an external link of all parts of the bus as well as the 24 here on Ebay, which mostly show the outside of the bus, and a video of the engine running and you can see i went through the lights while it was running. All apropriate new decals were applied as you will see in the pictures. It goes down the road nicely with plenty of power and cruises on the freeway at 75 no problem with more if needed to pass cars...the late 70's buses have way more power than the old upright engines and are way more fun to drive and the brakes stop you on a dime with no pulling in either direction. I have put around 600 miles on it since the restoration and everywhere i've been with it it gets attention with people walking up to look it over. It's a good solid running and driving bus that should only increase in value in the years to come with the proper maintenance and care.
