Vehicle Detail

Here's a great chance to own a classic 1975 CB750 that has aged well and is ready to get back on the street for years of fun riding. I would rate it as a very nice rider. As you can see in the photos, it has wear typical of a well-cared, low-mileage bike. It's been serviced and is ready to go. Even the neck bearings have been cleaned and replaced. There are multiple images of the pipes, because they are in fantastic shape. The chrome is dull in places but there are no holes under the pipes (other than the condensation holes) and the baffles and heat shields are there and in very nice condition. From what it looks like, the bike has never been tipped and the tires are in good useable condition but not brand new. They may be only the second or third set for this bike. Chrome headlight mounts are nearly perfect, as are the headlight bucket and instrument clusters. Everything works, even the indicator buzzer. What I see for wear is pretty well shown in the photos. There is a small indentation on the left, lower side of the tank. Not real noticeable. Tank has some small chips. I've never seen an original bike this age with a tank interior as perfect as this one. Absolutely no rust. Plain, shiny, bare steel. Chrome overall is in excellent shape for an original. Very minor pitting in some areas, mostly rear fender. also, a small dent in the left rear fender like something was dropped on it. I have the chain guard, but someone cut an "inspection hole" in it for some reason. So it's not on the bike. But I have a black one I will sell with the bike, or you can have the chrome one with the hole. Your choice. One side cover had some fine cracks so I had it repaired professionally (backed with fiberglass mat) and it is almost a perfect match to the original color. Really can't tell it's been painted. Mechanically, it runs as smooth as it looks. Starts very quickly and settles into a nice idle. I've not noticed any popping in the carbs. Shifts better than the other 750s I've ridden ... much quieter. Has new brake pads and fluid. Battery is fairly new. The seat has no tears or splits and the Honda lettering is not faded. The seat hinge pins are the wrong ones so someone must have misplaced the originals. The battery area has rust spots here and there but that is pretty common and could easily be reconditioned. Overall, if someone spent some loving care on this, I think you could have an even more spectacular bike. I have a few bikes to sell and have decided to sell a few before spring. If you wait until then to buy one like this, you'll pay more. I like to see people out riding vintage bikes, so someone do this one the honor and buy it and ride it. I've set a low reserve so you may get it for less than you think. Never know unless you bid! A $300 Paypal deposit is required at the end of the auction. Full, cleared payment by cashiers check before bike is released. I'll answer emails as best I can. I have a clear title.
