Vehicle Detail
1987 BMW 325es 5-speed - Bronze/Black Leather. I DO NOT NEED TO SELL THIS CAR. NO LOW BALLS. IF YOU WANT IT, COME BUY IT. ALSO, IT NEEDS SOME WORK & IS NOT PERFECT, I INTENDED ON BEING AS HONEST AS I CAN. For sale is my current daily driver. It runs great, needs some TLC to be perfect and to keep it on the road. Keep in mind, it is a 23 year old Michigan car - it has some rust, paint chipping and fading and is nowhere near perfect. The car has had 9 owners (including me). It was well taken care of most of it's life and it shows. If you are looking for a fun daily driver/project car, that is a classic, this is for you. If you're looking for a perfect BMW, look somewhere else. Engine: 2.7L I6 ETA Engine (Very rare - keep in mind this is a 325ES) - 4500RPM Redline - 121hp, 170ft lb torque - 24mpg city, 33mpg highway. 213,875 miles - engine has good compression, it ALWAYS starts, idles well, and pulls hard. It burns NO oil or coolant. Timing Belt, Water Pump, Radiator and Air Intake are all newer. Serpentine belt is starting to make noise - just beginning to get old. It needs a new oil pan and/or gasket eventually - leaks about 1/4 of ONE (1) quart of oil every 5k miles. Oil always changed every 5k miles. Transmission: 5-speed manual, very firm clutch - shifts great - no grinds of any kind. Linkage could use a little adjusting - but never really bothered me, shifter is a little bit "sloppy". Brand new shifter knob just installed. Body: Has rust - drivers side door (bottom) is the worst - no holes though. Paint is beginning to fade and chip in some areas but it still shines up nicely. I get compliments regularly about how clean and sharp it is. Always has a few dents, nothing terrible. Exterior is probably the worst part of the car. I still consider it to be in "Fair to Good" Condition, especially considering it is a Michigan car. Interior: Black Leather - one rip (just at seam) (drivers seat), very fixable.Leather is very clean and the carpet is almost perfect, only a couple small stains. Dash has 3 cracks - not terrible, typical E30 cracks. All gauges work, including MPG gauge and gas light. Lights work, heat works. Very clean car. Looks very nice. No weird smells or anything of that nature. Features: 2.7 I6 Engine. 5-Speed Manual, Rear Wheel Driver, Limited Slip Diff, 4.10 rear gear, Leather Seats, Kenwood CD Player included, Heat, Cruise (can be touchy), Rear Defrost, On-Board Computer (LCD can be touchy - but works), Power windows, Moonroof (not sure if it works - but it doesn't leak). This car is loaded up, especially for a 1987, but then again it is a BMW! New Parts: Timing Belt Water Pump Radiator Air Intake Muffler All-Season Tires 4-Wheel Alignment What it needs Right rear Wheel Bearing (possibility a half-shaft) Shocks AC recharge Oil Pan & Gasket Overall it's a fun little car. I drive it daily and trust it anywhere. The engine is eager and runs well. With some TLC this car could be almost perfect. I am not giving this car away. Do not low ball me. If I don't sell it. I have no problem putting a couple hundred into it and keep it. It is very, very rare and is a blast to drive. I do need a truck and that is why it is for sale. I still do drive it daily. It's an awesome car! Drive it home. I drive it daily, never lets me down. Fun car. Very Rare! Pick up ONLY! Bidding is a binding contract! Only Bid if you are serious and have the funds! Thanks! UPDATE: FORGOT TO MENTION: The Brakes need a little bit of attention - IE, brake lines need to bled, needs new pads all around, rotors seem fine. Car still stops strong and doesn't shake. Just trying to be honest :). They still have life but within in the next few months, I'd invest a few bucks and get new rotors and pads. Car is really probably the best running E30 in Michigan, seriously! 248.303.4753 call/text
