Vehicle Detail
This is a very highly optioned 70 Dodge D-100 Adventurer short bed. The Adventurer package is responsible for most all of the fancy trim, body side mouldings, rocker and wheel lip mouldings, drip rail mouldings, "Dodge" tailgate trim panel, hood ornament, hood mounted turn signal indicators, full wheel covers, and chrome light duty front and rear bumpers. But that's not all, this truck was also optioned with the bucket seats/console, heavy duty gauge package, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. Still not done, it's running the largest of the available engines, the 383 (2V) big block, backed by a 727 automatic and a special order 3.91 rear axle (which may even have a sure grip, have not confirmed this yet). Think it's cool yet? Well, this truck has one more surprise waiting, the understated yellowish tan paint job (worn but serviceable) that it currently sports is not the original color. Hiding underneath, and poking few in a few places is the original High Impact Plum Crazy Purple color! California black plate truck so there is very minimal surface rust in just a few spots. The body mount bolts/washers are the worst, but I'm sure they will clean up nicely with no rust through at all. The truck is a driver so it's not perfect. Couple of minor dings here and there, the weather stripping is worn and window seals are cracking, the power assist steering is leaking, will probably need some hoses at a minimum, may need the ram rebuilt. Blower motor isn't working, therefore, don't know if the heat or air work, but you can hear the AC click on when you press the button. Needs a little electrical, left turn signal not working, hood indicators don't light up. The factory HD speedo, tach, and Alt gauges are there, but the oil press, temp, and fuel gauges have been replaced with miss-matched aftermarket gauges. The wood on the dash, glove box, steps, and arm rests is not stock. I think the stock dash and glove box are there underneath. Inside the bed is covered in a brown colored spray on bed liner, not something I would have done, but it is functional. I just bought this truck, but I'm planning on more of a Hot Rod/Custom build, so before I start modifying such a highly optioned original truck I figured I'd offer it up in case there is someone out there looking for a nice solid rust free highly optioned truck to restore or just drive. Willing to work with long distance buyers and shipping within reason. There are a few more pictures available in my photobucket. http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/earlkann/70%20D100%20Adventurer/?start=all On Nov-23-10 at 07:19:01 PST, seller added the following information: EDIT: It seems that there may be a little confusion about the dash. The wood parts on the glove box door and gauges are NOT factory and were probably made by whoever made the wood center console. Last night I was able to remove the wood cover from the glove box and the factory glove box door was there underneath. I'm sure that the gauge panel is the same, I just haven't been able to looke more closely at it yet. I added a few more pictures to my photobucket link above. Also, Next bid should clear the reserve. If you have ZERO feedback on ebay please contact me about your bid or I may cancell it. Thanks for looking.
