Thanks for checking out my little scout 80 4x4 listed at NO RESERVE!! First off I Don't Want The New Buyer or I To Have Any Surprises When They Show Up To Take The scout Home and since ebay only lets me post 24 pictures please cut and paste my image shack page in your web browser and check out the 129 large detailed pics i have taken of every square inch of this scout from top to bottom!! http://img130.imageshack.us/g/jody129.jpg/ and http://img98.imageshack.us/g/jody109.jpg/ I have taken close up pics of both good and bad because i want this to be a good transaction for the both of us so please ask any and all questions so you know this is the one for you!! For those of you unfamiliar with the first generation scout's they are a blast to won and have a full removable top, fold down window that attaches to the hood like old jeeps and the doors come off fairly quickly. BODY/EXTERIOR- Solid original rust free body that has had a complete base coat clear coat repaint several years ago in metallic green with a frost white top. paint job was done right with all jambs, rear tire carrier, dash, transmission tunnel, wheel wells and engine bay all being prepped and sprayed. Custom bumpers front and rear. Restored grille and factory wheels with raised white letter tires finish it off. A billet gas neck has been put on driver side to keep spills happening due to it now having a little discoloration from previous spills. All glass is good but to due to top being off most of the time it was enjoyed to properly finish it off it really could use some new weather stripping and window felts on both doors and body to top seals. INTERIOR- Inside it retains mostly stock look, but with several modern feature comforts and updates. First off it has a tilt steering column from a 79 scout with properly wired up blinkers and a sport wheel from super scout specialists. Modern front and rear seats from a newer jeep wrangler tj were properly mounted in with safer modern seat belts. A nice little cd sound with remote has been installed. wipers have been converted over to electric and a cb and electric outlet for phone charges and etc have been nicely wired up. Thick rubber mats cover the rust free floors from front to rear to prevent excessive wear and tear. DRIVE-TRAIN- The motor is the original 152 4cyl with a rebuilt carb, all new electronic petronix ignition with fresh wires, cap, rotor and coil help for quick starts. Rebuilt starter, alternator and battery have also been dropped in. the factory manual 3-speed trans is matted to the original transfer case with twin sticks and has had a recent clutch and slave cylinderand. All new brakes at all four corners and a fresh exhaust top it off! Oil change and all fresh fluids in transmission, transfer case and both front and rear axles to assure it is driver ready for new owner!!:) OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS TO MAKE NOTE OF- This scout is guaranteed to get you alot of looks and thumbs up, but keep in mind the paint has a couple years on it now and has been driven and enjoyed so it has several scratches here and there and your expected rock chips and wear along the rockers from regular driving. The top has no dents and paint is nicely sprayed, but has a couple chips by door windows, the glass on top has fogging from age and there is prep work that can be seen under paint at upper back edges. The under carriage is very clean along with the engine but i do not know the complete miles or history on the motor so i it has little leaks here and there as expected on any older vehicle but nothing major. This scout looks very nice, fires right up,drives nice and hasn't been chopped up or offroaded so it is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come as it sits!! I hope I and all the close up pics have done the job to describe this rig the most true and honest possible!! Please note i forgot to mention the gas gauge just stopped working but i forgot when i listed it.
