Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 Classic VW Bug. This was a project car that my wife and father-in-law started back when she was in high school. It was going to be her first car but just didn't ever get finished all the way. They tore down the car basically as far as they could and started to rebuild it. The engine was rebuilt and ran fine. From my understanding the steering, suspension, and brake system was gone through and is in working order. There is a new front windshield for it, and all the other glass is intact and in great shape. The seats aren't bad and actually, but the car comes with an extra set of seats for both the front and rear which are original parts and in better shape. Overall the dash is in good shape with all the knobs, gauges, etc intact and in working order. This is an auto stick which is pretty hard to find. You shift like a regular stick but have no clutch. It does work with out issue. As far as the body goes it is very solid. The black areas on the car are just spray paint where they sanded area down, and are not bondo. There is no bondo on this car what so ever. The only real rust are is on the passenger side below the door. It isn't that bad can could easily be fixed. The floor boards are in good solid shape and shouldn't need replacing. There are an extra set of brand new bumpers. There is lots of other original parts which came off another donor car. This Bug has been stored under a tarp for the last few months but was in a garage before that while it was being disassembled. This would be a great project to finish since all the parts are there and there are lots of new parts on the car. I would say if you worked on this for a long weekend you probably could get it put it together to where it would be road worthy. I just don't have the space or the time to do this. My loss your gain type of thing. Good luck bidding!!! Now the technical stuff. Payment due within 7 days. A $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. Please ask questions before bidding.
