Here is a worthy project car that I just don't have the time , money or patience to tackle . I purchased this rare 1969 GTO convertible , 4 speed , about a year ago with the intention of restoring her back to her former glory . It is an original hideaway headlight , hood tach , bucket seat , car that also has the 3:55 safe-t-trac rear end . I was told when I bought it that the block is not original to the car , a 1970 or 1971 engine . The car has been disassembled by the previous owner and has not been on the road in 20 years . The 400 4 barrel engine does run pretty good , with a gas can under the hood , the fuel tank is out of it . Also the clutch and pressure plate were replaced while the car has been off the road . I do have the PHS documentation that shows how the car was originally built , and the car appears to be unmodified & original , except for the engine . As we all know a 1969 GTO Convertible is a very valuable car , so this one is well worth restoring . I will include some extra parts that go with this car that I have collected . They are : a new rear bumper , new rocker panel moldings , an extra trunk lid (drilled for a spoiler) , lower fender patch panels , & misc patch panels . The car is being sold with a bill of sale and also the old Mass title from 1976 , make sure you & your state will accept this . Call or email any questions you might have . On Nov-15-10 at 08:47:09 PST, seller added the following information: Here is some additional info : the paint code is 57 which is Midnight green , the doors are very solid at the bottom but definitely need skins , I have the patch panels for the fender bottoms , I do NOT have a good usable front valance ( the original is dented ) . The frame is good on this car . Also I will be out of town over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend , but my brother will be around for pickup if a deal is agreed ahead of time .On Nov-16-10 at 17:34:06 PST, seller added the following information: To answer a common question I've been asked , the Radiator Support is in excellent shape and looks like it has been replaced , as well as the battery tray . I do NOT have the Hood Tach for the car , it was broken and tossed out many years ago . Also this 69 GTO has power Disc Brakes , which are another option that is nice to have . If you restore this convertible with a trunk lid Spoiler and Hood Tach , it would make a nice Judge clone .On Nov-20-10 at 17:18:03 PST, seller added the following information: I also forgot to mention that I have the original tail lights for the car , they are in the trunk .
