Vehicle Detail

1997 Subaru Outback. I'm selling my slightly damaged Outback. I was rear ended about a month ago, and because of the year of the car, it was deemed a loss. The damage from the collision can be seen in the pictures. I chose not to repair the car since the estimates I were given were from $3500 to $4000. The new parts needed would be an entire trunk hatch, rear bumper cover, and right rear quarter panel. One of the bodyshops said that the rear quarter panel could possibly be saved. The trunk will shut and slightly latch, but it does not lock. The frame would need straightening on the right rear, and the right rear tailights are busted out, which can be seen in the pictures. The tailights actually still work, they are just busted out. The car still drives perfectly fine. I drove it an addtional month after the collision with not any problems. The car is a salvage vehicle at this time. I never officially paid to get the salvage title, I was going to let the buyer do that if they wanted to. I obviously do have the regular title in my possession. As far as the history of the car, I am officially the 2nd owner. I've owned the car since 30,000 miles, so really I've owned it since it was practically new. I have every single service record since I took it over, plus I even have the service records from the first owner. I've had all scheduled maintenance done on the car with the big things done at the dealer or auto repair shop. I did the minor things like change oil every 3000 miles. This car never had the head gasket issue, I guess I was lucky. The valve cover gaskets were done at about 120,000 miles and the timing belt was done at about 90,000 miles. The clutch was rebuilt around 70,000 miles, or maybe sooner. Like I said, I have all the service records if more detailed information is needed. I am a non smoker, so the car was never smoked in. The interior is in fantastic shape, which no tears or anything. Car has original floor mats and a black Subaru cargo mat for the rear cargo area. It has the tonneau cover also for the rear. The car has a roof rack, which can be seen in the pictures. The car also has the cold weather package which includes heated seats, heated mirrors, and the plug to keep the engine warm in a really cold climate. I never used that feature since I live in North Carolina. The car passed a North Carolina inspection in September. Here are a list of any other deficiencies besides the messed up rear end. The plastic window button for the drivers side door is broken off from the location, but sits in its spot and still will operate the window. There are two small dents on the left side of the car from a metal grate flying up and hitting my car last year. These can be seen in the pictures. The check engine light has been on since June. Autozone said the code said "Subaru specific code". I never bothered with it because the car has never ran any different and gas mileage never decreased. The rear cup holder attached to the center console is broken off. The right front CV axle is bad and needs replaced. The tires have roughly 4-5/32 of tread and the front brakes were getting close to needing new pads. One of the engine cooling fans does not run consistently, but it's been like that for a couple of years, so it never affected the car's performance. That fan will run 100% when the AC is running, but in colder months, the fan did not run all the time. The dealer could never really figure it out, so I was never really worried about it. I think that's all I can think of. If anyone would like to see any additional pictures, just let me know. For the price I am starting with, the car is easily worth this for the parts.
