99 VW Jetta GLS TDI 100800 miles NOTE: This vehicle is a manual five speed. Ebay would not allow me to select this as the transmission type. Red with a Black/Grey interior, in good shape. Exterior paint has road rash (bad on the mirrors), and car comes with touch up paint from an automotive paint store (actual paint code) which helps but doesn't look new. New (15k miles) alloy wheels; five-spoke VW New tires all around (each went on its own, and was replaced thusly) New oil cooler and clutch; clutch done before purchase, oil cooler after Checked out fine with VW of Cedar Rapids; you can call and ask if you like, make sure you email me for my name first! Heat, A/C work flawlessly. Heated/electrical mirrors with some water damage that came with car. Seats fully adjustable (manual). Move forwards/backwards, up/down and back is rotationally adjustable. Rear seats fold down flat to make room for movement of larger items. Spacious passenger compartment. Stock sound system has tweeter and six inch speakers on all four doors, with excellent bass and treble composition, even on a stock radio. A replacement radio makes it even sweeter. 5 speed manual drives great with no grinding. Some wear on the shift boot; easily replaced if you feel it is necessary. Replacement stereo, original style; original did not work upon purchase. Has custom paint scheme on exterior trim items. A bit worn in places but overall creates a stylish air for the vehicle. Includes a top-half silver with black-half bottom on the trim bars all the way around the car; vents and grilles on front of vehicle are painted; silver on bottom, black on top middle with matching silver VW emblem (not chromed as from factory). Rear badges have same silver over black scheme, and all dealership stickers have been removed perfectly with no scratching or residue. This car drives like a dream; it is economical (36 mpg city; 50 mpg highway; my own measurements at the pump, calculator in hand) and yet still extremely quick (easily pass people on the highway WITHOUT downshifting; has more torque at 60 mph than vast majority of other economy cars in the same gear). A great first car, or a wonderful addition to any fleet. Cleans up very nicely. Washed inside and out today by Army standards (I'm a PFC, so I know how to get things clean real well!), to include interior trim Armor-All'd, vacuumed, glass cleaned inside and out, tires gelled, and wheel spokes shined up. I will gladly take more (new) pictures upon request, and send to your email! In short, the car is not the car of my dreams (Porsche 944, in the works), and I have no need for a sedan at this time.
