Vehicle Detail

1965 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser California survivor wagon. NO RESERVE SALE. Still has the black California license plates that it came with. This is the Vista Cruiser you have been waiting for! Nice solid California survivor wagon fresh from a 20 year storage and all original and complete. Nothing has been altered or butchered so it makes this wagon a rare find. Great start for a beautiful restoration. Running and driving now if you want to work on it as you drive it. Lights and wipers, etc, seem to be working. Has power brakes and power steering. May want to start with the inside, needs interior work, seat covers, carpet, headliner, etc. It still has the owners manual and the metal warrantee service plate card. We cleaned out the gas tank and Quadrajet 4 barrel carb, replaced all the fluids and the wagon roared back to life. Seems to start and drive well. I am taking it on short trips around the area but do not want to go too far and have an issue arise. As with all cars that are stored for long periods, seals may start to seep and leaks develop after numerous warming cycles. The car runs and stops now but I would recommend going through the safety items like brakes before any long trips. Being this old, of course the wagon has to be sold as-is with no warrantees so please no complaints and ensure this is the wagon you have been wanting before bidding. Most of these clean solid California cars end up going back east where they can not find the dry cars we have out here. Look at the pictures of the solid rockers and door pillars and jambs. No rot. There is some surface corrosion because it has what I think is the original faded and thin tan paint, but no rotted out holes. I can store the car here for 30 days while you find transportation. I have a 100% feedback for selling items fair. I find that as long as you leave room for the car to be bought right, and later sold again for a little margin, then everyone is pleased with the purchase. You will be more than pleased with the wagon for this kind of money. On Nov-12-10 at 06:51:20 PST, seller added the following information: A question about the listed miles. YES the odometer has gone around. I want to be sure you know that although I think it is obvious that there is not 10,000 miles on this wagon. Actually, I entered 119,000 in the listing but it posted 11,900. Just want to ensure there is no confusion. Also a lot of questions about what the car needs. Well, I suppose it needs a complete restoration if you want it really nice. The car does drive and has faded paint and needs interior work, and some mechanical stuff should be inspected and sorted as a min. Brakes etc. I have some new back shocks and a better muffler that I am putting on the car now to help. Little stuff like that and a good cosmetic resto and I think it will be a looker. As stated, it is as-is please because it is an old car. I think the fair price reflects this.On Nov-12-10 at 08:22:47 PST, seller added the following information: There is a $3500 buy-it-now on the listing that does not show up once a bid is made on a no-reserve listing. I forgot about this ebay system. So even though the buy-it disappeared, it is still available for anyone that does not want to wait and risk losing this rare find.On Nov-20-10 at 10:01:49 PST, seller added the following information: Some interested bidders of this wagon have very little ebay bidding history. This is OK but please ensure this is the Vista Cruiser you have been looking for. In 10 years of ebaying the only issue I had to resolve was from a brand new ebay buyer who thought ebay was where you buy $100K Ferraris for $1000. Experianced ebay buyers set the price, not just one bidder. I have found a very safe position by selling as-is and at no reserve. I have done my part to make it fair, so please make sure your expectations are matched with this wagon. Thanks.
