Vehicle Detail

The Real Deal 1974 Dodge Coronet Police Car Survivor, except for repaint E56 360 4 barrel V-8, D34 727 transmission, heavy duty suspension, 489 case 8 ¾” rear. NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, AND BROADCAST SHEET. A real Y39 special order car. There is no rust anywhere on this car. Original color is dark silver metallic, paint code JA5 - has been repainted dark brown. Paint color is best seen on the underside of the trunk lid. Seats are all vinyl benches, chestnut color, code K2T7. Leece-Neville adjustable high-output alternator. Broadcast sheet shows Y39, N95 California emissions, certified speedometer, police trim all-vinyl bench seats, rubber floor mat, H-D suspension, fast-ratio power steering, front sway bar, heavy duty engine cooling, air conditioning, transmission cooler, special alternator, heavy duty rear engine mount welds, left-hand spotlight, radio delete, one key option, and remote trunk release. The car is largely untouched. Three of the tires are still G78-15, polyester non-radials. ______________ There is 1 ½” flexible electrical conduit that runs from the firewall to the trunk. There are also mounting holes and a depression in the right side of the trunk floor, I assume where a radio was mounted. There are steel brackets welded to the front bumper support, behind the grille – they look like light mounts. Car currently has dual exhaust – broadcast sheet states that it was originally a single-exhaust car. The spotlight installed is a non-original six inch Unity spotlight. I have another spotlight that came with the car when I bought it, but the lens housing is bent up and the lens assembly is missing. Both spotlights go with the car. ____________________________ As I said, there is no rust anywhere on this car. Driver’s window is scratched from being rolled down when dirty. There are some dents on the body. The dash pad is cracked, and the interior plastic trim and seats are brittle from the dry desert heat. The door panels show very well - three of them have a small rip in a hard to see place, near or on the edge. Part of the headliner has been removed. The top of the back seat is splitting from sun aging, and the front seat bottom has a split on the passenger side. The door panels show very well - three of them have a small rip in a hard to see place. Car Runs and Drives, but the radiator leaks. This car can easily be driven short distances, for loading and unloading. It sat for many years before I purchased it in 2007. The most recent registration expired in 1981. Previous owners were the same Tucson family since sometime in the 70’s. All documentation goes with the car. Odometer shows 86,958. Clear AZ title shows 000,000 miles, category C, "Not actual mileage". The speedometer lens is scratched from someone rubbing it when dirty. I hand-polished it so the odometer could be read - shows 86,958 miles. Condition of the certified speedometer is excellent. The radio delete dash trim is in good shape, with a small crack on the left side, at one of the screw mounting holes. There is no spare wheel / tire, and no jack. _______________________________________ A great chance to own a very original and unique Mopar. Repaint to the factory color, or make your favorite tribute car for the Blues Brothers or Dukes of Hazzard ‘Roscoe’ car. Car can be inspected during auction. Please contact me for additional detailed documentation, including pictures, or to ask any additional questions. A non-refundable $500 deposit will be due within 48 hours. Full payment is due within 10 days of auction end. To make other arrangements, contact me before auction end. I can store the car for a few weeks after full payment. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I will be as accommodating as possible with pick-up needs. Car can easily be driven for loading/unloading. Vehicle will not be released until all payment funds are confirmed. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time – bid to win. Trades also considered.
