Vehicle Detail
1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1, Boss 302 Resto-Mod, Show Winner, NO RESERVE!!!! This has been my baby for the last 5 years and now it needs a new owner since my oldest daughter is getting her license in December and I need more garage space. It is so nice that it took first place in a car show last year. However, it isn’t just a show car. It is a blast to drive, especially between stop lights. Save me the hassle of selling this car at the big auction in Scottsdale, AZ this coming January. You deserve to own this car before then, so don't wait. You won't find a better car for this low again. This Mustang started life with the baby blue paint scheme. Since I didn’t want to keep it blue, I changed the paint scheme to the Boss 302, but kept an original color scheme of Calypso Coral with Black stripes. The body restoration included new floor pans, but the exterior sheet metal is all original with no rust. The body was taken down to bare metal before painting and reassembly. This car has less than 2000 miles since being completely restored. I have receipts showing I put way more than $45,000 in this car. Here are some of the other upgrades done to this car: · 17” wheels and tires (similar style to the original mag wheels) · New disc brakes in front and drums in the rear, master cylinder and booster. · Custom Exhaust with cross over, magna-flow mufflers, and tail pipes exiting where the back-up lights used to be located. · Black out tape on all chrome around windows · Bumpers, tail lights, and marker lights have been powder coated to match the wheels · New carpet, floor mats, upholstery (all factory spec) · Sony CD player with 4 speakers · Trunk is fully carpeted and insulated · New windshield glass · All new moldings · Complete front end rebuild · B&M shifter · Auto Meter tachometer · The factory clock does work, along with all the gauges · Speedometer is geared to match the tires & rear end. Drive train modifications: · The rear end has 4:11 gears and is posi-traction · The transmission is a C-4 with a 2700 RPM torque converter built specifically for the high HP engine · New 3.5” driveline and u-joints · The engine is balanced 425 HP 302 bored and stroked to a 347 with a red line of 7000 RPM (I have not tested the red line) o March Serpentine belt kit o Holly 670 Street Avenger carburetor o Professional Products Power Plus Typhoon polished manifold o Polished aluminum valve covers o Comp thumper cam shaft o Comp lifters o High volume oil pump o Scat Crankshaft o Canfield 20475 heads, blocked, ground, ported & polished o Total seal rings o KB Hypereutetic Performance Pistons o High performance timing set & professional products harmonic damper o ARP bolt kit o Custom valves, springs, retainers o Harland Sharp roller rocker arms o Griffin Aluminum radiator with LoBoy electric fan o Braided fuel and transmission lines o All new battery cables o Alternator & powder coated black o Hi Torque gear reduction starter o MSD ignition with rev limiter o Hedman hedders o Taylor Pro plug wires o Flame thrower billet distributor & coil o K&N air filter and top filter o K&N oil filter o Royal Purple synthetic motor oil o Edelbrock aluminum water pump Issues: The driver’s side mirror needs to have the remote mounted in the door panel. I scratched the car when I was installing the bumper and never did fix it.(this is really small) There are some really minor circular sanding marks in the hood and are not visible in any pictures. You really have to look hard to find them. The car is an original factory A/C car, but I didn’t install a compressor. The car also has a rear window defroster that isn’t hooked up, but is installed. I can't verify the actual mileage, but the odometer reads 29,832 and it works. Included with the purchase of this car is an entire 3 ring binder with all the receipts for all modifications. I also have pictures of the body work restoration process, and pictures of the trophies won at the car show. Sorry, I am going to keep the tropies. This car is so much fun to drive and heads turn everywhere you go. Don’t miss out on a really nice car that runs great! Feel free to contact me with any questions or specific picture requests at 406-651-2230 (office), 406-690-1110 (cell) or email at neil.clark@gopai.com I will also include an airline ticket on Delta to the winning bidder (assuming a US buyer) so you can fly here and drive it home if you don’t want to ship it. I did not put a "buy it now" price, but their is NO RESERVE so bid early and often. You will not regret owning this car!
