This is a 1976 2 stroke 175cc street bike. It had been sitting for at a decade when I got it. I put in a new set of crankshaft seals, carb needle seat, set the timing and changed all fluids. It has 140 psi compression and seems to run pretty good. Has a dead battery. It starts but when I put in a loner battery it ran a lot better. These bikes have cdi igition and require the battery for a constant 12 volts to run correctly. This could be a fun dirt bike or restored for the street, really screams with a good battery when it revs up. I only rode it a short distance (no plates). What's wrong with it? It is mostly complete, turn signals, kill switch, horn etc do not work. headlight works. title was lost. it was titled and licsinsed in Illinois back in '93 (still has that plate on it). tires? they have good tread but they might be the original? who knows? The side plate is from a 250 but fits good. (They were the same bike just a bigger cylinder and piston in the 250). I have too many projects to keep this one.
