Untitled Document WHO WE ARE LEVELS OF RESTORATION FAQ'S BIDDING TERMS DISCLAIMERS CONTACT US History: The Porsche 356 Coupe was very popular and known as “The Bathtub.” The Porsche 356 was the company's first production automobile. It was a lightweight and nimble handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2 door sports car available in hardtop and convertible configurations. Design innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmünd, Austria where approximately 50 cars were built. In 1950 the factory relocated to Zuffenhausen, Germany and general production of the 356 continued until April 1965, well after the replacement model 911 made its autumn 1963 debut. Today, the Porsche 356 is a highly-regarded collector car. This particular 356 C Converitble belonged to a Porsche club enthusiast. It was manufactured on May 4, 1965 and the body was built by Routter. Description: This 1965 Porsche 356 C Convertible is a wonderful Porsche that has recently completed a restoration to high-end Driver level. This well-serviced 356 C features a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, working AM/FM radio, Nardi wood steering wheel, German floor mats in the front and German carpet, wood gear shift knob, 2 sets of keys and the exhaust out of the rear bumper. This is the most affordable of our three levels of restoration and is usually for the person who wants a reliable, beautiful classic car to drive that has been restored. This car can be shown in driver level competitions. Show-Driver Level Restoration A show-driver level car is a 97+ point or a high level #2 car. Show-drivers are generally kept in a climate controlled facility and driven to Concourse judging and or car shows and limited driving of about 5,000 miles yearly. Components are original or a proper replacement. This is the most common level of restoration. Concourse Level Restoration A show level car is a 99+ point or #1 car. These cars are generally not driven more than a few miles a year and found in a collection or museum. Show-level cars are also kept in a climate controlled facility and transported in an enclosed trailer to Concourse judging and car shows. All components are original or an exact replacement with attention to specific detail. This is the highest level of craftsmanship. Frequently Asked Questions When are we available?
