Vehicle Detail

An American Muscle car Gem!! I purchased this car about 5 years ago with the goal to make it one of the best original Oldsmobile 442's around and trust me it has that potential. Unfortunately I have ran out of time and money. This car deserves to go to someone who has the time to turn a wrench on it or have it professionally redone. The car is virtually as original as the day it came off the line in Lansing Michigan in the late 1960's. A grandfather had this car sitting in a garage from 30 plus years and never drove it, he gave it to his grandson who then sold the car and it ended up in my hands. The car runs great now as a Sunday cruiser and has been virtually untouched. VIN #: 44679M257396 Body Number Plate: ST69 3367AN258308 The body number plate shows that the car is an original 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible (NOT A CLONE), the exterior car was originally painted in the legendary Aztec Gold color with the Gold trim interior. It was assembled in Lansing Michigan and it was car #158,307 made (they started the sequence at 100,001 and this is car # 258,308). The engine is Red and has the ID code of the letter F stamped on it symbolizing that it is indeed a 455 big block. The Casting # is 396021. The car has only 44,296 original miles on it, factory air conditioning, power windows, the original motor, transmission, frame etc. It has very minimal rust and the car has never been restored and runs great. Prior to me purchasing the car, the new vinyl convertible top was installed, the car was repainted and the interior has been redone and new brakes were put on. It is a Florida Car and has spent almost its entre life inside of the state of FL. It has never been driven in the cold/ice/snow etc The car does not have the original radio and only has 2 of the 4 original wheels. If someone wanted to drive it as it currently is and fix it up as the yeas go by, they wouldn't have any problem doing so, it runs great. The only recommendation I would make was to give some of the trim of the car attention as it is the only cosmetic items to be addressed and it is minimal. I am positive that the car is a 455 big block, I am unsure on the horsepower. It is one of the following: 365, 390 or 400. If anyone knows how to find this out, let me know and I will check for you. This car needs to go to someone who truly appreciates American muscle at its finest. I am not a huge car guy, I love American muscle and what it stands for but I know virtually nothing about cars. All the information above I learned by researching through books and websites and then matching the numbers on the car to what the websites said and described. I live in Central Florida and I welcome anyone to come and view the car prior to purchasing and see that everything I am saying is accurate. If you have questions on the car, please feel free to email me and I will do my best to answer them. What’s amazing is that this car is 41 years old and only has 44,296 original miles on it, that’s only 1,080 miles per year for the last 41 years Attached is a link to nada that will give you a snapshot representation of the cars value: http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1969&m=1134&d=4597&c=7&o=35265~35267&vi=80151&z=33896&da=-1 I love this car and don't want to sell it, but given the times we are in, I have no choice. Please allow this car to go to someone who will take care of it and love it with the same attitude I did. Good luck & Happy Bidding!! Seller has right to cancel auction at any time. All information provided is accurate to the best of the knowledge of the seller, but seller recommends to all prospective buyers to inspect vehicle prior to finalizing auction. All sales are complete at the end of the auction and buyer takes full responsibility of purchase. On Nov-02-10 at 07:20:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Just realized that I had a mistake in the typing above, the Casting # is 386021 not 396021. Sorry!
