1957 Pontiac Hardtop Fully Bagged, Rocker laying with awesome patina! Another auction offering from Damaged Goods Car Club for your consideration! Up for auction is my most recent project. This is a 1957 RUST FREE Pontiac Chieftan with incrdedible original Texas Patina. It has been channeled 2 1/2" over the frame with complete Air ride system to allow it to lay frame & rocker. I am listing this as a project vehicle for reasons described below. Specifications: Aside from the patina on the ORIGINAL paint, the body only has a quarter size rust hole on the drivers outer rocker and passenger lower fender. The floors and trunk have been refabricated with new grid & sheetmetal for the 2 1/2" channal. The frame is original with exception of the rear notch and 4-link rear suspension on factory rearend. The front lower control arms and spring pockets have been modified to allow it to LAY FRAME. The Air system is all brand new equipment that features 2600# bags front & rear, 4 way independant control, Plug and Play control system and 9 gallon air tank. The trunk also houses the deep cell battery and 12 gallon fuel cell. The drivetrain is a Pontiac 400/400 combo from a 1978 Trans AM. The front tires are brand new and rear have plenty of tread left. Interior has seats from a 67' Parklane convertable, sheetmetal floor. Needs door panels, headliner, carpet or run as is! All lights, blinkers, brakelights work. Missing wiper motor. The reason I'm listing this as a "project" are as follows: Floor does NOT currently have a trans/driveshaft tunnel (I can fabricate for a fee). Also needs some finish work to cover 4-link upper bars under rear seat. The engine runs good but needs some carb/timing tuning. I have driven this car alot but in all honesty this needs to be addressed. Just don't expect to get in this car and drive any great distance. The brakes are all original equipment but have been rebuilt with all new hardware. It could use a new master cylinder, it was rebuilt but should be replaced. This is alot of car to stop on 1957 technology! The driver door window and quarter window are broke. I have a replacement quarter window to include. Drivers door is flat glass and has the hdtp frame work still intact. The only show this car has attended has been the Hunnert Car Pile up. This is a fresh build!
