1986 GMC Ducks Unlimited Suburban 4 X 4 Up for auction guys is this (one of very few i assure you!) Ducks Unlimited converted Suburban 4 X 4. The conversion was done by Starcraft in the mid 1980's for D.U. and there are very few of these vehicles around today. I have one of the flyers in my posession that describe and shows the options for this vehicle in this year. The camouflage paint job was the most expensive option and the custom camouflage interior was the real deal at the time! I purchased the vehicle with the intention of spending some money on restoration, but have since moved on to other projects. This suburban still has the original glass in it with the original GMC Decal in the windshield! Since purchased: 6" of lift professionally installed by 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers mid 2009. Have all receipts, can send to you for your inspection. 15X10 Black Powder Coated Wagon Wheels with 15.50X35X15 Dick Cepek Mud Country. Purchased when the lift was installed. Have all receipts, can send to you for inspection. Flowmaster 40 Mufflers and new Exhaust from the manifolds all the way back with new Chrome Tips new in 2009 Professionally Installed. Shorty Headers and complete tune up, wires, plugs, etc late 2009. Have receipts upon request. Truck runs strong with no issues or concerns. I used the truck to pull my Duck Boat to and from the boat ramp from my house.........just under 3 miles each way! This truck has less than 2000 miles on it since the lift and tires and wheels were installed. Tires are like new. It goes down the road right! I would drive it to California in the morning if i had to. It would not leave me. It is very dependable and will make someone a super hunting truck or great one of a kind Ducks Unlimited Restoration project! It has Tilt Wheel, cruise control, heat works like it should! I've never had the A/C charged since i purchased it, so don't know if it works or not. I use it in the winter, so it is not important to me if the air works or not. The side boxes that you see in the rear photo are built in gun boxes! I spent several months trying to find enough material of the SAME camouflage and fabric to redo the interior and have enough material to completely redo the interior! It is packaged and will go with the suburban. It is new fabric, never used and is identical to the trucks interior. The carpet is faded, but all in good shape, and the captains chairs need to be recovered. Passenger Side front is in the worst shape. Seat Coves would cover all damage, the foam padding in all of the seats is just fine with none missing, just the fabric is wore and damaged somewhat. I have the original spare tire cover with Ducks Unlimited on it. Forgot to take a pic of it, but can take one and send it upon your request if necessary. If you research the truck a little you will see that this truck is in it's original color and interior. It is one of very few that are still around.
