Vehicle Detail

Thanks for checkin out my scout but let me first say I Don't Want The New Buyer To Have Any Surprises When They Show Up To Take The scout Home and ebay only lets me post 24 pictures here so please cut and paste my image shack page in your web page in your browser and check out the 100 large detailed pics i have taken of every square inch of this scout from top to bottom!! http://img826.imageshack.us/g/img2729hi.jpg/ I have taken close up pics of both good and bad because i want this to be a good transaction for the both of us so please ask any and all questions so you know this is the one for you. Ok with that said this is my 79 scout offered at NO RESERVE with no buy it now or early ending auction. It is in extremely good condition and very original. It was originally sold at Butts pontiac and international in seaside california so it has a nice solid body. When this truck was first ordered the buyer checked all the boxes so it came with all the options. Full off road ralley pkg with factory installed triangle suspension system, deluxe interior and exterior packages, 345 V8, A/C, tilt, cruise, 373 gears, factory posi, tank skid plate, chrome pkg, rear tire carrier, sport wheel, roll bar and auto. Almost every thing works on this truck including all interior lights, factory stereo, cruise and gauges! The interior is almost perfect with exception to wear on outer edge of driver seat only and carpet discoloration up front from age. The body is in very nice shape since it spent most its life in dry CA. It has had 1 repaint it looks like a long time ago since the original white ralley stripe is gone and has sun dye damage but still presents very well and gets compliments. It has a couple bumps and bruises both located at passenger front and rear corner. The only rust i could find is on lower end right in front of rear tires of both sides, small spot on inside near gas tank access on inner driver side( very minimal) the floors, doors, fenders, rockers and body mounts are nice and solid. This scout does have full ca smog so no added expense if your a CA buyer but it can easily all be removed if you wish to take it all off. The drivetrain is all original so it looks a little dirty but runs and drives great and has plenty of power thanks to the hard to find factory 373 gears. This scout is very original and 100% complete even down to am/fm stereo and original books. True miles are unknown due to 5 digit odo and no docs on miles, but by the minimal wear and tear on the pedal pads and interior makes me believe it is true when i was told these miles have rolled over only once( all engine decals, glove box decals and even decals on springs and rearend are very visible and intact) Couple things to mention are some safer more modern shoulder style tri seatbelts have been installed for passenger safety, the rear tire carrier hardware is there but the carrier itself was removed by original owner in 80's to prevent body damage once it was evident what damage those can cause when they don't latch so that is long gone and the A/C is 100% complete but as any rig 10 years or older it needs a update to the new style freon and good recharge to get that ice cold air back. Well i think i got everything i can think of about this scout and i hope all the close up pics help to paint the most honest picture of this scout as possible!! GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER NO RESERVE SO IF YOU NEED MORE PICS OR QUESTIONS DON'T HESITATE TO ASKOn Oct-18-10 at 10:40:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Want to update with some questions i have been getting. The A/C compressor is off and was pulled before i got it to prevent un needed wer and ter on bearings if it no longer blew cold air, but has been in box ever since and is included. The fender flares were installed along time ago before i got them and i have never had them off but felt behind them and did feel any rust through but haven't pulled them for full inspection because sometimes they can be a pain to put back in the exact same spot, but you can see there is rust as stated on very bottom corner in front of rear tires( see pics)- KEEP THE QUESTIONS COMING IN-CASE I MISSED SOMETHING!!!! THANKS GUYS:)
