Since many of you will be bidding on this based on my opinion and on my credibility I would like to tell you a few things about me. I have bought several cars through Ebay and I have only had one bad experience and that was my first one. The ad had very little detail and I didn't ask any questions. Since then I buy only when I know for sure what I am getting and I have been very happy with the other purchases. I have sold several vehicles through ebay and have received great feedback. I did however receive negative feedback on a 26 year old RV that when driven back home by the new owners had a faulty voltage regulator and a water pump that broke in the middle of their 1200 mile trip home. The buyer stated on their feedback that it should be looked at by a third party and that I have minimal mechanical knowledge. I cannot tell the future and could not know those items would break after several hundred miles of driving. I still maintain my credibility and would suggest anyone get a third party check on a vehicle or parts. I had up to this point a 100 percent feedback. That negative feedback docked by percentage for one year and I am happy to say it is back up to 100 percent again. Please if you do not feel comfortable bidding then do not bid or get someone else to view it for you.. I have even had independent people look at the vehicles for the purchaser and those are usually the people who end up winning the bid because they have told me it was exactly as described. If I don't mention a detail that you would like to know about then please ask me and I will get the info to you. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. There is no Buy it Now. I started this auction very low, much lower then what it is worth. I do this because I am confident it will get to a respectable selling price. I also don’t find it much fun bidding on something that has a reserve and not knowing if the vehicle will actually sell. So now everyone knows this will sell to whoever bids the highest. Much more fun this way and I think it caters to the serious buyers. What you are looking at is a 1993 Suzuki Samurai JL. This is a low mileage example. This is in overall good shape. This is one of the later year models so it has a higher HP rating. This has not been hacked and modified too much. I bought this three days ago. While trailering this rig home, my truck motor died and left me stranded. I am now looking at repairing the truck and I could use the money that I just spent on this Samurai. I am sad to let this go because it is a good rig for the money. The miles are low and it is not riddled with problems. I backed it down off of the trailer and drove it the rest of the way home on the interstate. Obviously these were not made for interstate driving but I was able to keep up a safe speed and was impressed with how well it did at the high speeds. I am not excited about selling this but I need my truck back on the road. The exterior of the rig is in very nice shape as you can see from the photographs. This is not a rusted out junked vehicle. The panels are straight and fit together well. There is very very light surface rust on the low panel near the rear wheel. I took a photograph of it but it does not show up very well. That is partially because the rust is not bad. It is slight bubbling surface rust only. The paint is a dark green and is an 8 out of 10. The vehicle appears to have been red prior to this green paint jop. The doors open and close just as they should with no sagging. The rear swing away door works very good. There is no rust in the belly pans or floor pans. The inner fenders are in good shape. The hood is nice. The grill is good. The headlight area is nice. Basically this is a good body that looks good in the paint color choice. This has the two piece hard top that comes off. You can remove the front, back or both. This is the soft top version but it now has the hard top options. This is nice for the winter as it is insulated much better. But you can still have the soft top if you so choose. It is a neat option that is getting harder to find. The wheels are all in nice shape. There is no spare wheel or tire. The bumpers are in pretty good shape. The lights work and the lenses are in working order. The mirrors are good. All of the windows are in nice shape. The door windows roll up and down well. the back windows are all good. The windshield is in great shape. The door hinges are not rusted which is getting rare to find. There is no hail damage. The fender splash guards are in good shape. This body in this condition is hard to find and it took some looking and travelling before I found one to buy. The underside is not damaged from boulder crawling. It has an aftermarket hitch. I was very happy to find one in this body style that was still solid. The interior is basic. The seats have good cushion but both have tears at the seams. They can easily be recovered without having to put new foam in them. I believe these are the sport seats. The door panels are in nice shape. The dash is in good shape. The wipers work well. The speedometer works well. The heater works well. This is an AC optioned vehicle. The AC is not working and some of the parts are not there. The previous owner told me he has the parts and will ship them to me when he gets them out of his fathers garage. If he does that then I will ship them to you. I will not guarantee these parts are still available as I can only assure you what I will do and not what he will do. I would have put the AC back in as it sure is nice when the top is on. The radio works fine. The steering wheel is in good shape. The turn signals work good. The headlight works good. Basically this is a fully functioning Samurai. There is no carpet. There is no back seat. It has a partition to separate the front from the back. There is no rust inside. This is solid. The seals on the doors and windows are in good shape. The sunvisors are good. The rearview mirror is good. The drivetrain of this little rig is also solid. I was told the top end of the motor was gone through and given a bit more power. I have no paperwork to prove this though. The motor seems strong and easily kept me up to highway speeds. It has headers on it. The motor is clean and is not leaking any oil. The outside of this motor is nice and dry. There is no smoking and no odd noises coming from this rig. The engine light is on and I was told it is because of the headers being put on. It does not seem to have any obvious sign of problems. I would not have bought it otherwise. The cooling system worked good and shows no sign of leaks. The charging system is good and the battery is good. The transmission is in good shape. It shifts through all gears well. The clutch is strong. The 4x4 works well too. It has locking hubs. There are no odd noises coming from this rig. The differentials are in good shape. The brakes work well and stop straight. The exhaust looks good too. The suspension is in nice shape and soaked up the bumps as well as Sami's do. It does not appear to be modified in the suspension. There are no creaks or groans in the suspension. The tires are in good shape and show even wear. They will last a long time. When I drove it at highway speeds it tracked very well and I was very impressed with it. The emergency brake works well. Overall this is a highly desirable rig in good shape. There is a lot of potential if you wanted to keep it stock it is virtually there. If you want to modify it then it is a great platform. These have already depreciated as far as they will go and now will only gain in value. So whatever you pay this year and as long as you keep it in the same condition it will only go up in value. Plus this is one of the new Sami's so that is desirable. I usually rate the cars I sell on the following. 1. A car I would trust my wife to drive across the state at night by herself. 2. A car I would drive across the state with a minor tool kit and minimal mechanical knowledge. 3. A car that should be trailered. This car fits solid into catagory 2. This could be a catagory 1 but since I have only had it for 3 days I have no real background to go off of. Of course I would suggest if you are uncomfortable that you should have someone locally look at it for you if you are bidding from a distance away. I dont see anything that this car needs to be a daily driver. The car is located in Rapid City SD. This is a fantastic time to visit this area if you are buying this car. You can see Mount Rushmore and Crazyhorse Monument. You could fly into our airport and drive home. If you are local and would like to view the car please let me know. Also, ask any questions you might have prior to bidding. I am serious about selling so please be serious about bidding and buying. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. Highest bidder will take this car home. I am not interested in a trade. Payment will be 500 dollar paypal deposit. The remainder is to be made within 7 days of auction end. I will accept the remainder in cash or certified cashiers check. Also I will accept the full amount in Paypal but if I am charged a fee for it I will pass that fee on to you. I will assist in getting the car to a shipper but I will not get quotes for you. I may trailer the car for a price to Sioux Falls if that would help you but that needs to be arranged ahead of time and is not a condition of sale unless we agree to it.
