Since many of you will be bidding on this based on my opinion and on my credibility I would like to tell you a few things about me. I have bought several cars through Ebay and I have only had one bad experience and that was my first one. The ad had very little detail and I didn't ask any questions. Since then I buy only when I know for sure what I am getting and I have been very happy with the other purchases. I have sold several vehicles through ebay and have received great feedback. I did however receive negative feedback on a 26 year old RV that when driven back home by the new owners had a faulty voltage regulator and a water pump that broke in the middle of their 1200 mile trip home. The buyer stated on their feedback that it should be looked at by a third party and that I have minimal mechanical knowledge. I cannot tell the future and could not know those items would break after several hundred miles of driving. I still maintain my credibility and would suggest anyone get a third party check on a vehicle or parts. I had up to this point a 100 percent feedback. That negative feedback docked by percentage for one year and I am happy to say it is back up to 100 percent again. Please if you do not feel comfortable bidding then do not bid or get someone else to view it for you.. I have even had independent people look at the vehicles for the purchaser and those are usually the people who end up winning the bid because they have told me it was exactly as described. If I don't mention a detail that you would like to know about then please ask me and I will get the info to you. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. There is no Buy it Now. I started this auction very low, much lower then what it is worth. I do this because I am confident it will get to a respectable selling price. I also don’t find it much fun bidding on something that has a reserve and not knowing if the vehicle will actually sell. So now everyone knows this will sell to whoever bids the highest. Much more fun this way and I think it caters to the serious buyers. What you are looking at is a very well taken care of 1986 Toyota Tercel SR5 AWD Wagon. These are great vehicles. They get fantastic MPG and can be shifted into 4x4 mode when the weather gets bad. This is a 6 speed transmission. It has a granny gear when in AWD mode which makes it the 6 speed. Otherwise when in regular two wheel drive mode it has 5 speeds. This vehicle has been very well taken care of and I have a hard time believing it has over 200 thousand miles. Everything on this works great. These cars are perfect for the college student on a budget. They get great MPG, the parts are easy to find, they are very reliable, there is plenty of room inside the cabin area and they are safe. Compare this wagon to a Subaru and you will see that these get much better MPG both in town and out on the interstate. They are getting hard to find in this condition. This is a 24 year old car with an almost perfect interior. There are no leaks in the motor and it is very clean. Insurance would be next to nothing on this. Extremely cheap to operate. This is an Air Conditioned equipped car!!! The exterior of the vehicle is in amazingly good shape for its age. As you can see there are no major dents. The body panels are all straight except for two small dings in the hood. They are hard to see on camera and are very minimal but they are there. They are about the size of a small childs hand. Other then that there are not dents, creases or even hail damage. This is virtually rust free. There is one spot on the driver side rear wheel well that has rust through the metal about the size of a quarter. This is easily saved. There are tiny surface rust spots where rock chips have gone through the paint but overall in very nice shape. The paint is still in pretty good shape and does hold a nice shine when buffed. The black trim is in very nice shape as well as both bumpers. Every lense and light on this vehicle is in very good shape with no chips. All lights work properly. The windows are all in good shape. The windshield has a crack high near the top that does not obscure the vision. Otherwise all other windows are in great shape. All the windows roll up and down as they should. The grill is in great shape. All body panels line up nicely with no evidence of prior collision. All door handles work perfectly as well as the rear hatch. In-fact the rear hatch holds itself up still. All four mud flaps are there and in nice shape. The fuel filler door has a factory lock on it and the key still works as it should. The trim is all there. There is no rust underneath the vehicle. All shock towers are in nice shape. There is no rust in the wheel wells. The top of the car is in good shape. The wheels are factory original and all of them look good. There is a spare tire that holds air too. The sideview mirrors are in nice shape with no cracks. Overall this is in very nice shape for its age. The interior of the car is in simply amazing shape. It is easy to tell that prior owners used care and proper frequent cleaning of this car. The carpet is in amazing shape. The seats show no wear except for one small hole in the driver seat. Otherwise the seats are in amazing shape. All seats have good cushion and support. The driver seat has plenty of adjustments for different size and comfort levels. The back seats fold flat for more room in the back. They are 50/50 so you can fold either side or both sides at once. The dash board has no cracks and is in great shape. The gauges all work and the lenses show no clouding. The center console area is in great shape. Both shifters have boot covers in fantastic shape. There are no cracks in the center console. The door panels are in fantastic shape. The driver side rear panel has one small hole the size of a dime but otherwise in fantastic shape. All windows roll up and down nicely. All doors open and close nicely. The doors do not sag and line up great. The steering column has a tilt option which works great. The turn signal switch works and turns off after making your turn. All of the heater and AC vents are in nice shape. The temperature gauge works as well as the gas guage. The radio is aftermarket and works well. It is an AM/FM/CD player with a remote. Even the cigarette lighter works (there is no cigarette lighter though as it is used to hold an air freshener) But it works so you could use it to plug in accessories. The windshield washer and wipers work well. The headliner is in fantastic shape. The sunvisors are in good shape too. It has the tray behind the rear seat to hide items from view and that is in very nice shape. It folds up and out of the way when needed. All of the door and window seals are in great shape and do not let in excessive road noise. The grab handles inside the car are good. The seatbelts are all there and work properly. It seats 5 adults. Oh, and even the Emergency Brake works good. This was a well cared for car. The original floor mats come with the car. The driver floor mat has wear but they were obviously used since the carpet is in such nice shape. The heater works great. The Air Conditioner (yes it has AC) works fantastic. It blows very cold air. It has a setting for economy AC and that works great too. The heater works in every speed and setting as well as the AC. Overall you will be very happy when you are driving this car. The drivetrain of the car is also in very good shape. This has the 4Cyl motor. This motor is plenty peppy ad cruises the car down the road just fine. The motor has no smoking issues and it does not leak any oil. As far as the engine goes there is not much to say other then it runs fantastic. This is a carburated motor and so you have to pump the gas a couple of times to start it. The car does not backfire, it does not smoke and it does not leak. All of the hoses and belts are in good shape. The cooling system works great and it has no issues. The antifreeze is set up for the winter with proper mixture. The transmission on this is in good shape too. The clutch is strong and it shifts into each gear quietly and effortlessly. There are no odd noises. The AWD or 4X4 works as it should. These do very well in the snow since they are relatively light, have good ground clearence and thin tires. This shifts into AWD well and shifts out just as well. The differentials work well with no leaking, no grinding and no bucking. The steering is very good on this car. It does not have excessive play and tracks down the road well. There is no shaking and no vibrations. The brakes work well and have plenty of life left in the pads. The shocks are ok but I think this is about the only thing I would change if I were keeping it. They are getting a little worn out. They are not unsafe just not as stiff as I think they should be. The tires are in good shape and all hold air like they should. They have decent tread and will last many more miles. These are 13 inch tires that are all-season. I see no reason why you could not fly here and drive it home. The charging system works good. The power brake works good. It has the electric cooling fan which works good. There is such a solid driving vehicle. If you are looking for a very economical vehicle to drive and something you can drive safely in the winter then this is it. It still gets great MPG since it can be locked in two wheel drive unlike the cars today which are true all-wheel drive and have a lot of drag because the power is being transferred to all of the wheels. This is easy to work on and the parts are cheap. Insurance is cheap. There is a lot of room inside the car. Oh yeah and there is a car top carrier that will go with it if you want it. It has locks on it. The other nice thing about this car is that it is done going down in value and will likely go up in value if taken care of especially when gas prices go higher and higher. Whatever you spend on this car today it will likely be worth the same in a year or ten. Newer vehicles are still going down in value. So if you are looking to get the best for your money this might be the car for you or your new driver in the family. I usually rate the cars I sell on the following. 1. A car I would trust my wife to drive across the state at night by herself. 2. A car I would drive across the state with a minor tool kit and minimal mechanical knowledge. 3. A car that should be trailered. This car fits into catagory 1. Of course I would suggest if you are uncomfortable that you should have someone locally look at it for you if you are bidding from a distance away. I dont see anything that this car needs to be a daily driver. The car is located in Rapid City SD. This is a fantastic time to visit this area if you are buying this car. You can see Mount Rushmore and Crazyhorse Monument. You could fly into our airport and drive home. If you are local and would like to view the car please let me know. I will accept the remainder in cash or certified cashiers check. Also I will accept the full amount in Paypal but if I am charged a fee for it I will pass that fee on to you. I will assist in getting the car to a shipper but I will not get quotes for you. I may trailer the car for a price to Sioux Falls if that would help you but that needs to be arranged ahead of time and is not a condition of sale unless we agree to it.
