Vehicle Detail

Some expert out there is upset because he says the car is not 100% original. I am not an expert, but I never said it was 100% original. I show more pictures and detail then most ads. There must be 2 or 3 thousand parts on a car. If there is a wood-looking sticker over the gauges, and I failed to mention it, then you can take one fraction of a percentage point off of 100 and work down. I can't possibly go over every single bolt or part on the car. My price is extremely fair. I am not here to trick anyone. That being said.. for your consideration is a beautiful 1929 Buick sedan in excellent condition. This is my last listing this year. If it doesn't sell, I am keeping the car. Please do not email me offering me a lower price. Sales must be done through Ebay. All mechanical and electrical parts in great running condition. I believe this great antique to be 95% original. It is my understanding that the motor is original but rebuilt about 20 years ago. I can tell from the car's condition that it was stored as an original for many years. Even the wiring was carefully left original. I had to replace some of the wiring under the dash because it was dropping the voltage below the original 6VDC. The car came with the original horn as well as a new "Aooga" horn. I repaired the original horn by replacing the spark-retarding capacitor. The horn's insides are as clean as the entire car! The brakes and clutch appear to be new and in great condition. The whole car is unbelievably clean as the pictures show. I believe the paint to be original since you can see under it where there are a few small cracks. I converted to 12VDC by replacing the coil, and bulbs. I used dropping resistors for the windshield motor (which is original and works well), and the horn. I bypassed the original current limit relay with one jumper wire and used fuse protection in line with the new power wires. I replaced the 6VDC electric fuel pump with a 12VDC pump. The generator charges for a 12VDC system. I made these changes so I could enjoy the car on the road, although I never needed the car jumped. The motor starts every time (6 cylinder 239 cubic inch 75 top HP) and runs great. The filter section within the carb cracked so an in-line gas filter was added and the carb filter chamber was bypassed directly to the float chamber. The carb works great and does not leak. Acceleration is excellent. The top is excellent I added turn signals which duplicates as addition brake lights for safety. These were attached with existing bolts on the bumper with the signal control simply clamped on the steering column. All the changes made were non-intrusive and can be reversed quite easily. The dome light is present and works as well. The interior appears to be old (original?) but in wonderful condition. The emergency brake works as it should. The Brakes are original - in great condition - and are mechanical brakes. The gauges all work properly except the gas gauge which is there but not connected. The headlights and parking lights work fine. All windows work smoothly and are in excellent condition. Additional switches were supplied for lights, fuel pump and power on. All these in conjuction with the working ignition, and light switch - which the later workes on the column around the horn button. The transmission is also in excellent condition and shifts correctly (double-clutching for smooth shifting as this year was designed for). I enjoyed this car for about 18 months using it for my own driving pleasure as well as driving it as the bride-groom car in a friend's wedding. I hope the buyer will keep it original since these cars are rare and a part of America's history. Thank you for bidding.
