Vehicle Detail

1973 Fiat 128 (128A), 2 door coupe. Seller reserves the right to cancel this listing at any time. If you have questions please contact Igor at 925 519-0462. NO SMOG REQUIRED EVER!!! Great, solid car. All original, all stock. I bought it from a local San Francisco Bay Area owner ~5years ago who had owned the car for most of its life. I believe it's been garaged with prior owner and has always been parked inside of my garage for the last 5 years. I stopped driving the car ~ 3 years ago when water pump started leaking. New driver side drive shaft. New Spark Plugs, wires, cap/rotor. I think I also put new points, if not I should still have the part. New Oil/Filter and transmission fluid. New thermostat. it's a whole assembly not just a thermostat like in most of the cars. New brake fluid. Headliner is in great shape Seats might need new vinyl or just seat covers. Door panels are so-so. Carpet is OK. Dash Vinyl was repaired before - not the best job, though. All glass is great shape and clear, goes up and down fine. Body has some minor rust; several spots lower part of the door and around the window - nothing major. All body panels are good and straight. Driver side door has a dent, not a big deal. Paint is old and if you want to restore this car you will need to paint it. It has roof racks/laggage racks that can be removed. Chrome is good, bumpers are good, lights are good. Overall the body is very solid - doors open and close like a clock. I have a carburator rebuild kit that I was going to put in before the water pump started leaking. I would suggest to put it in, but it ran fine with the old gaskets and needles too. Fuel pump pressure was a bit low, so I would put an original pump (electric close to the gas tank) or just a $30 generic electric one which would be great. I have owner's manual and shop repair manual for this car - it's very easy to work on, so buy it and have some fun. if you restore this historical car - you won't regret. These cars are very unique and not many of them left in US. It's a front wheel drive, manual transmission, 2 door coupe. Seats 5 people. Front seats fold back and make a bed. That's how people used to use these cars in Italy and Russia. Russians got Fiat 124 4 door model and produced this car from early 70's till 90'. It's called Lada. Vaz 2101, 21011, 2106 and so on. They had many variations of this car and it's been a great family car for many people back in Russia. I think I listed all I know about the car. Please be serious when bidding and respect your and my time. I can assist with loading the car but buyer is responsible for all the shipping arrangements - I am not going to deliver, sorry.
