Vehicle Detail
Stunning 1971 911T with factory sunroof Restored Classic looking for a new home. The prices on these cars run all over the map from $10,000+ for a car in need of a lot of TLC to $50-75,000 and even upwards of $100,000 for concours class cars. This car in a very nice middle ground far closer to the Concurs class than a crate case. That is ready to be driven anywhere in the country without a single concern of reliability (I've taken the car on several multi-state trips and even from Cincinnati to Montreal without a second thought). I purchased the car in late 2004 from the sales manager of the local Porsche dealership (It was his own personal car) shortly after a full engine rebuild and have taken loving care of her for the last 6 years (I'm the 4th owner in 39 years). This car is a ball to drive, and corners like it's on rails. There are no oil leaks and it doesn't burn a drop of oil but as with any of the original Porsches it does seep a tiny bit of oil and produce a small puff of smoke upon start up if it sits for any real extended period of time (couple weeks or more). Just for clarification this is not a leak or ring problem they shipped brand new this way straight from the factor in the late 60's and early 70's and she operates the same today as she did back then. Details on the Mechanicals: 37,000 miles on the stock 2.2L Flat 6 Engine (2004) 24,000 miles on Brakes (front & rear) (2005) 10,000 miles on Tires (Michelin All-seasons) 2006 8000 miles on Clutch & Heater box (2007) , < 1000 miles on Oil tank, Oil lines & Batteries (x2) Exterior/Interior All exterior rubber and interior carpets was replaced late 2006. Body restoration was completed in July of this year removing any hint of rust (only surface rust was present) and repainted in DuPont Chrome 99 (Jet Black) Car just came back from my mechanics with a clean bill of health (contact info can be provided upon request). She was my daily driver from 2004 thru late 2007 (mostly a weekend car since). I have all receipts for the car going back 15yrs and several going back to original purchase. Only thing that could really do with a update at this point is the Head liner (can be found for under $100 on eBay) still intact and just looking a little worn. Please feel free to check my feedback. I take very good care of my toys and whoever the lucky winner of this auction is will end up with a real classic that will just keep appreciating in value of the years. Please let me know if there are any questions and happy bidding.
