This 1994 BMW 740iL sedan is a lovely dark-dark (almost black) blue with a SUNROOF, CD-PLAYER WITH USB PORT (USER PURCHASED AND INSTALLED, DOESN'T USUALLY COME WITH THIS MODEL), automatic locks, dual airbags, power seating, power windows, gray leather interior, and front and back A/C and heat. The interior is comfy, and despite the high mileage, the car runs VERY well. (The high mileage is due to being a work vehicle. It is driven from Salinas to San Jose on an almost daily basis--a 45-min to 1-hour drive, 50 miles.) BRAND NEW BATTERY. ALL THE TIRES ARE NEW, PURCHASED IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. It has low-profile 18"s in the back, 15"s in the front. SUPERFICIAL DAMAGE: - Dent on left rear trunk. - Dent on driver's side panel. - Keying on both sides, roof (but no damage to sunroof), trunk, and hood. - The cloth ceiling is starting to come down some in the very back (not peeling at the corners, but un-adhering from the middle). - Minor automatic lock malfunction (the automatic locks all work, but sometimes take a couple of turns of the key to stay unlocked). - The passenger side front window will sometimes stick a little when rolled all the way down, but still opens and closes smoothly (just keep this in mind, as we tend to roll it only halfway down to prevent it sticking or any worsening of the sticking). ONE MECHANICAL PROBLEM - Needs new struts and strut mounts (which are changed when changing the struts), which is a common problem with this model. The struts have not greatly affected it from running smoothly, but they will need replaced within the next few months. The superficial damage are easy repairs, and the struts are particularly easy, especially if you are (or you have a friend who is) a mechanic or mechanically inclined. Even with the keying on the exterior (which was present when we purchased the car from my husband's coworker), the car looks pretty slick and would look even slicker with some love. Since it was used more for function than appearance, we've mainly just put money and time into making sure it runs well and smoothly so it will handle long drives like a dream.
