This 280 SL is a beautiful vehicle that will make its new owner very happy. The car is in very good condition. The engine is strong, and you will enjoy a steady and precise ride. The dash is a stunning work of art with all original wood and leather. Transmission shifts smoothly.A Unique feature in this model is the rear passenger jump-seat. The original rolled leather tool kit wit all tools is perfectly intact, as well as all original manuals and ticket tag - European German versions. Extras == Sale includes hard top and roller cart, material car cover, and one extra wheel rim.The car is well maintained with a clean interior. The miles you see are actually kilometers driven being that this car is European, so I converted the number for convenience of listing purposes with a conversion rate of 1.6. I purchased this unique car from the second owner, who purchased it from an army officer stationed in Germany who imported this gem from Germany to the states. To my knowledge it was garage kept. Trunk is clean.Since purchased: I replaced the original radio, replaced the electronic antennae, had a complete tune-up with all wires and plugs changed. In addition, the engine mounts were changed, the shifter was repaired and all bushings were replaced.There are some cracks in the paint and one spot that the paint is chipped (I tried to show this in the pictures). The carpet on the driver's side has minor wear and tear (heel to pedal type). The reserve is low as I have taken these issues into consideration.
