Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1954 Ford F-100 pickup. It has a '63 Buick 401cid "Nailhead" motor and automatic transmission. This motor was called the "Wildcat 455" because it came stock with 455 ft/lbs of torque. This particular motor has an aggressive cam and an Edelbrock 4 bbl carburetor. Accurate mileage is unknown because the speedometer is not connected. The vehicle has the following NEW parts with under 5 miles on them: -Coker wide white wall tires(4" white wall on the back, 3" on the front for an aggressive stance -Chrome bullet center caps with matching bullet lugnuts -Chrome headlight trim rings and retainer rings -Headlamps -(4) new shocks -oak bed floor -reproduction chrome door mirrors To my knowledge, the truck is complete but is missing the following: -sun visors -emblems I spent a lot of time and money on this truck finding small parts to make it complete. Unfortunately, I ran out of money. The exterior is painted in black primer with gloss black steel wheels. It has a few small dents and the passenger running board is rusted through in a spot, but still solid enough to stand on. Cab corners, firewall, and floor pans are rock solid. The truck would still need some work in a body shop before paint if your goal is a trophy winner. I was building it as a hot rod and I felt all of these things added character. All window glass is there but in poor shape. The rear window has a "NRA Freedom" sticker on it that I thought was cool. I just stained and installed an oak bed floor which looks really cool up against the flat black. The interior is spartan, but complete. Heater, wipers, lights, and turn signals all function. Has auxilliary gauges that light up with the dash. Seat is original with tears but I put a multi-stripe cover over it for a hot rod look. After many months of working, I just put the wheels with new tires on the truck on Wednesday the 29th and then took it around the block. It has tons of torque and the ride is surprisingly smooth for the primitive suspension. I can provide a video for interested buyers of it running, driving, and stopping. However, I cannot guarantee the truck will start. Something is draining the battery, I believe, and I don't have the resources to investigate right now. Assume that it will have to be loaded onto a trailer. Shipping should be arranged by a buyer, but I will be happy to help however I can. I have more time than money right now, so I would happy to arrange delivery for a price. This needs to be worked out before the close of the auction though. I have the Kansas title which matches the VIN tag inside the glove box. The title was issued in 1994 and has not been signed by myself because it was not signed by the previous owner. Because I never registered the vehicle, I don't have a title in my name. I will however, provide a Bill of Sale in addition to the title with my information on it. This could cause a headache for the next owner in attempting to register it. I would be happy to provide the VIN and answer any questions regarding this matter, but for my own liability I cannot claim that this title is 100% free of leins, etc. I did have a police officer run the VIN though and he told me it came up clean. I encourage everyone to find out about titling the vehicle in their own state before bidding. Sold as is, where is, with no warranty or guarantees written or implied. Good luck to everyone and I hope this solid old hot rod finds a great new owner who appreciates it.
