This backyard project simply has to go. My husband's health has deteriorated, and he can no longer tinker with the Scout. He made a rather detailed list of things items that need repair, such as a heater hose that leaks and a main seal that drips. Carborator diaphram is ruptured; front window is cracked; gas tank outlet loses fuel; electric fuel pump has too much pressure; Ignition swith has a loose wire; left rear wheel has a slight wobble; front hub adjustment is worn. Here's the good news! It has a tow hitch attached and it wasn't burning oil so the motor is sound and it is still basically a strong little unit. Personally, I always loved the putt-putt-putt song it sings. Sounds like a little tractor. It has a lot of potential if you happen to love Scouts.
