1957 Other Makes KS 601

ZUNDAPP 1957 KS601 – I am selling this motorcycle for a friend. It has been in his family since 1966. The majority of the wear and miles were placed on it prior their ownership. It has been ridden less than 1000 miles in the past 44 years and has been in storage the majority of the time. It was last licensed in 1980 and it has a title in his name. Please note the title is registered under the engine’s serial number and not the frame’s. It’s complete and original with few exceptions. It has all its keys, the original fork lock, extra coil, and factory tire pump. The only notable cosmetic parts that are not correct are the speedometer, horn button and ignition switch. It starts, runs and is drivable. This is a great bike for a collection or restoration. Some of the mechanical issues are: a wheel was slightly bent at one time and was straightened; second gear jumps in and out of gear; neutral is hard to find while the engine is running; the back brake shoe linings need to be replaced; and the kick start is hard to operate. Some of the cosmetic issues are: it needs repainting; there are a couple of small dents and dings on it; and the valve covers and crash-bars have some scraps on them. I’ve changed all the fluids, replaced the battery and installed a good set of used tires. It had mechanical work about 30 years ago that involved replacing a valve, several gaskets and some bearings. This bike is being sold as-is with no warranty stated or implied. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and charges.
