1962 Ford Thunderbird 1962 Ford Thunderbird Roadster The 1962 Ford Tunderbird "Roadster" has become increasingly more valuable over the years due to the cars limited production run of only two years (1962 - 1963). This "roadster" has great documentation to prove itself as a true "roadster". The restoration on the car was done to a very high standard of quality. The body & paint work on this car is excellent. The body panels are very straight & have a nice fit. The paint is very exceptional and has been color sanded to a very smooth finish and polished to a very deep gloss. The engine bay has been restored and shows off the big 390 cid engine with all the chrome trim. The interior, dash and instruments have all been redone as well. The trunk compartment is detailed out to match the quality of the rest of the car. The floorpans, rockers and trunk floor are sold & original to the car. The undercarriage is very nice and clean as you can see in the photos. This "roadster" has a 390 cid engine with a 4 bbl carb, automatic transmission, p/s, p/b, p/top, gauge package option, am-fm radio, seat belts, 5 Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels and fiberglass tonneau cover. This Thunderbird even has the documentation to prove when and where it was sold The true magic of this car begins with a turn of the ignition. This car is very mechanically sound. The engine runs excellent and the transmission shifts perfectly. This car just seems to glide along at 70mph. This car has been driven since restoration, but can still be shown at any car show with pride.
