Vanagon was a wheelchair van .Doesn't run currently. Was running earlier this year. Other than needing an auto transmission(reportedly,the one thats in it went earlier this year may just be a valve ?and it was rebuilt too prior to going out) and front brake calipers(missing), its really in great shape and complete! Minimal rust for a new england vehicle. new ,"load correct" tires, interior all there and in decent shape, no rips or bad wear in the seats. With it are a stack of all service records going back to original purchase including a motor swap for less mileage rear end body work (professionally done) and alot more! It was, up to not too long ago , and for the majority of its existence, well cared for. I acquired it from a Vanagon Family who has sinced moved on to Eurovans(what were they thinking !?).I got it with the intention of doing the work to have a nice Vanagon for the winter so I wouldn't have to drive my "Fresh From California Vanagon" in the snow this winter, but , plans have changed , and I need a good 4X4 truck. I picked it up cheap in march of this year, and I'm putting the reserve at $200 more than I paid to cover what I've got into it, including a new battery ,NIB Alternator, fuel injectors, and other parts that go with it. Anything else you want to know , feel free to drop a line, and I'll answer to the best of my ability. This Vanagon would be easy for the right person to get driving and on the road, or the parts on it could enhance your "Plain Jane" or "Beat" interior very nicely ( I'll admit, I considered it . . . .) Alloy wheels and Rack pictured are not included , but it comes with almost new load correct tires/steel wheels and three wheel covers. I've been over this Van quite a bit too , to check it out and have found nothing that would lead me to beleive it has ever been unprofessionaly maintained or worked on. On Oct-02-10 at 15:11:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Found my receipts and have spent $550 on parts already since march for this van including Bosh 90 amp alternator ,Deka 70 battery,new Bosh platinum spark plugs,belts,mann & mahle oil filtersX2 , mahle air filter, fuel injectors. also comes with three bottles of Pentisol Blue Antifreeze(VW Factory Recommeded) and comes with two ACcompressors (condition unknown)and all the pieces to hook it up. Also this van has been running synthetic oil for years
