This 51 GMC is a Texas truck almost rust free, the only rust I have seen on it is on the tailgate and it's not real bad. This truck has a Chevy small block 350 that smokes some but runs good it has an HEI ignition, I don't know anything about the internals but running I would say that it sounds like a stock engine, has what appears to be a 600 cfm edlebrock carb, the transmission is an automatic 3 speed not sure if it is a 350 or a 400 but if you needed to know I would check for you. I hav'nt drove the truck much but I have drove it enough to know that it runs out good, shifts good, does'nt slip, and does'nt heat up. The steering feel good, exhaust sounds good, paint is weak and pealing in a few places, all the glass is good except the driver door glass is cracked pretty good, the wood bed in it is in very good shape does'nt appear to be rotted any where. Has a new 1000 cranking amp battery and a rebuilt starter. This truck with a major tune up could probably be drove for quite awhile before any major work had to be done. I have a clear Texas title in hand. I have sold truck bodys in this condition on E-Bay for more than the buy it now price on this one.
