Vehicle Detail

For repair (*!*), but cheap cheap cheap and solid solid solid. ONLY selling due to my local city inspector making me remove all commercial trucks off my property and running out of time. I have been very busy lately and now sadly for me, its crunch time. Truck will need to be towed. This was a Penske Truck (known to be the best cared fleet vehicles) for its first 80k or so miles, it never turned 100k with them, it was in the 80k miles when we bought it from them. Clean, totally straight, it's a super rust free nose/ cab, box truck ( cutaway cargo van type). Transparent see thru roof, 2 rows of pro installed e-track, no dents. It has a Morgan box, but not sure if they call it a 15' size (outside measurements?) but from the INSIDE of the box it is as little over 14 feet Car had motor issues and has been parked maybe 18 months,,,oddly I was on the way to dealership to have it repaired when it stalled, did not restart, and it wound up being towed home instead of ever reaching the dealer. Literally the day before that I had put all new shocks put on it..... I always took care of the truck and had no intentions of not one day fixing this van. Drivers seat has some tears and safety belts need re-attached. If you can find another drivers seat like this (they are all over the list website and here on ebay) you might be best off, but you can use the drivers seat if you wish. Good points: perfect cab, e track already installed professionally, in fact the e-track sections were welded to form one longer, stronger continuous run. Brand new shocks, nice simulator wheel covers, it drove straight as an arrow, stopped on a dime, and did everything the way it should, Its been sitting for maybe 18 months, but the air blew ice cold Bad points: the history is as follows: motor was acting up, shifting was getting erratic and I was advised that the computer was probably the issue and a dealer really should be the ones to re-do the computer as they were best people to flash a new one (I was an idiot, there are people here on ebay that do it cheap). But now I think motor has now spun a bearing and needs replaced, best my friend and I can guess. I actually do not need this truck bad enough to deal with it with all the other projects I have going, and so have had limited hours in figuring it out. If you are planning on buying it please think the worst to be safe and assume the drive train (motor trans and computer) all need redone. I don't want any unhappy campers, so please plan for the worst.. I am assuming (?) it can accept a gmc or chevy motor I think the Chevrolet motors are the same deal 5.7 vortex somewhere around 99 (?). My farmer friend says I could just drop an older 350 with a turbo 400 transmission in it for cheap and move on and forget the computer stuff,, but I must sell due to my city codes truck is sitting in my yard. I think she had 120k on it. The battery is totally dead so I can't check the digital dash. So yes, it will need a battery too. Neutral points: box stays very dry, I did have a tree branch hit crack a small area of the see thru roof years back but we fixed it. It has an opening to walk thru the cab to the back of the truck, it is just open with no door, we preferred that, no big deal, it isn't that big an opening or an easy small piece of plywood solves it People are asking this price for just a box like this, to make a trailer out of or whatever , so maybe you can part it out yourself and sell it for parts, great front clip, but I can't do it here again local city is on us I need the truck picked up and removed ASAP! I work out of my home and the city has decided I have too many 'large' style trucks. Note: van will have all 6 rims but only 4 tires to tow away, all the pics are very recent but the chrome wheel covers won't be on when you come get the van, but included (due to me switching around the tires with another truck). And the load ramp is removed but the slider tracks that makes the ramp pull in/out are still in there and I can offer back the ramp for extra cost if its a must have, let me know if it is critical and I can add a buy it now for the ramp, 2 bolts hold it on. We find many businesses do not use ramps, but we still have it (extra cost) Please your buying AS IS. Come inspect in advance. Please if you win or buy you must remove the truck within 5 days!!!! This is a must. I can take a credit card. If there is something I really need to push on is the deal is completed, and the van removed, ASAP. I don't have a choice. as is as is as is. Miles were best as I recall, if off, it won't be by much Next week we are listing a 1998 Ford e350 extended van with power window, locks and etrack so keep watching ebay for our auctions. Thanks On Sep-29-10 at 07:33:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Just answering a rather basic question yes, the van is very VERY much like the Chevy Express van but what makes the Chevrolet different beyond the grille and logo emblems I do not know, I am sorry.
