Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I bought this car for my Fiancee two years ago and have put a tremendous amount of work into building her the car of her dreams. After some serious personal setbacks last year, she has asked me to sell it for her. The hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars will not be recovered, but she needs the money. I did an extensive amount of work to make everything correct and better than any other similar Vette. It is full of beautiful, meticulous work. Now that Ive finished it and she loves it, she needs to sell it. Heres all the work Ive put into it. I went over the car inch by inch to correct every little thing I could find. Most owners ignore these little things because the are seen as inconvenient or not worth the time/money/effort. But I was building a dream car for my fiancee so I looked after every detail. After I bought it the first thing I did was replace the interior with new carpet, trim and reupholstered the seats. The interior was completely removed and all the wiring neatly tied up, and any rattles done away with. I installed a new Panasonic Stereo at the same time. I also installed fresh weatherstrip because Corvettes are known for wind noise and leaks when it goes bad. About $400 just in the interior sealing. The Clear top has the new strip, the white top still has the original. While I was working on the interior, I also tuned up the power windows and locks and courtesy lighting system. The original steering column had the standard looseness in the tilt, so I rebuilt the column and loctited the 4 bolts that always get loose in the Saginaw columns. GM used that column in millions of cars but never addressed those four bolts so it is very common. Especially in Corvettes where guys incorrectly pull on the steering wheel to get out of the car. Everyone else's column is loose. Mine is rock solid. Everything works perfectly. All the codes are cleared. Their are no chassis codes in the CCM or Engine codes in the ECM either. It is mechanically and electrically perfect. I even added the diode for the aftermarket stereo to eliminate the C25 code. Everybody else just ignores it. I fixed it with the factory service bulletin. It has a new throttle body, new injectors, new catalytic converters, K&N Air Filter, new distributor, plugs and wires. New ZR-1 Shocks in the front, as well as AC Delco Ceramic brake pads all around (big $$). The wheels are chromed. It has a fresh battery too. Thats all I can think of. It is not completely pristine because it is a classic car with 119k miles. I installed some unobtrusive screws to quiet some rattles as well. All the work that I did has less than 3000 miles on it. I can honestly say that I left no stone unturned in fixing up this car. I put all the service history of the car into a binder along with notes and observations about the work done. It also contains receipts and warranties for everything I did. I am able to discuss in detail anything a perspective buyer may want to know. The pictures represent the car pretty well. The VIN search says that there was an accident or damage. Definitely not while we had it and Ive gone over it with a fine tooth comb. There is no evidence of damage anywhere. I will be happy to let anyone take it to there mechanic or I’ll lift it so you can look it over completely. It was just inspected over the summer. Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to come by for a test drive. Brad
