Vehicle Detail
1st off I would like to thank everyone who was bidding on this auction previously, and I apologize for the auction ending, I had a clerical error thru ebay that that ended my auction no ones fault but my own. I fixed that and the auction will run the full term this time, thanks for your understanding. You are bidding on a 1970 Dodge Coronet 440. Superbee Clone. I bought the car a year ago from a muscle car collector who had blown the engine up messing around in it on the Hot Rod Power tour. I gave the car a thorough inspection before I purchased it. And at that time started with a late 70s 440. I opted for a heavy duty 440 out of a motor home for durability and at that time had it completely rebuilt. The engine is a mild 440 with standard TRW flat top pistons and mild Howards RV cam, refurbished rods, new timing gears and chain, new bearings and multi angle valve job, new Mellings high volume oil pump, Milodon extreme performance pick up tube, Milodon crank wiper and windage tray. Plus a 7quart Milodon pan. On top the engine has a Edelbrock high volume fuel pump, Edelbrock aluminum performer intake and matching 800 CFM vacuum choke carburetor. For ignition I went with a MSD pro Billet Distributer and heavy duty coil and heavy gauge wires. I did a bunch of research to find out which combinations worked best on 440 Mopars and that’s where I ended up. I also bought a 727 Torque flight transmission and had it completely rebuilt. It has Hi-Performance Borg Warner Frictions and Steel plates, a new high output pump, new heavy duty front planetary, heavy duty bands, Trans Co stage II shift kit. New billet super servo. New bushings, and new Heavy duty Sprague. I wanted a good all around daily driver , you know the kind of car you see all over town actually being used, rather than some show car with an original six-pack that is nearly impossible to tune, runs bad, and you wouldn’t hardly drive or enjoy. This car you can actually use. The body of the car is in pretty good shape, it was an AZ car originally, then Michigan it’s as straight as a pin, the under carriage is also in great shape with no rust, a highlight of the under carriage is the K&D headers into 3” flow master exhaust system with crossover into 2-1/2” tail pipes all painted and looking and sounding great. The wheels are standard rallies with nice old school Good Year Eagle ST tires all in good shape. The brakes are all stock, and are also fresh, and stop the car well. The interior is all stock Mopar with nice original buckets, the carpet is a little faded near the floor mount B&M shifter, which is also new, and one of the visors has a tear in it. The OEM temp and fuel gauges do not work and the heater and fan are not operational at this time. But the aftermarket oil and temp gauge work as they should. This car is a great running driving car with obviously a lot of brand new parts and a huge amount of money spent on bringing it back to a great driver. With only 300 miles on the rebuild. The only down side of the car is the paint. The paint was a fantastic job done by someone most likely in the early eighties if I had to guess. It is most likely enamal and is starting to show its age. If you’re into patina you’ll love it, and if your into perfect paint, it will need to be redone. There are small cracks in the paint, here and there a few small bubbles and two larger blemishes on the roof, which I’m told is kind of standard from the torque of these cars. This is why so many of them had vinyl tops. I have spent a lot of time and a lot of money on this car, I always really wanted one, and I liked how straight this car is. I did not buy it with the intention of selling it, that’s why I spent so much on it, but the good ole Michigan economy has bitten me and now I need the $$ just to survive. I have done the best I can do to represent the car both the good and bad. If you’re seriously interested, feel free to call me. 616-218-6454 If you want a walk around tour of the car here are two youtube videos that will let you hear and see the car up close. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr79GY08vF0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQt7fW2TLHE Feel free to ask questions. No Deadbeat Hyenas. International buyers are always welcome. Please NOTE all of the items I sell on ebay are considered to be antiques. They are not new, and are sold as is, and carry NO warranty. Please read the item description, I have 1 Negative feedback from a knuckle headed guy who admitted “he didn’t even read my description”. I work really hard to tell it like it is, so we are both happy with our ebay experience. Every attempt has been made to describe them accurately and thoroughly without boring my audience. I am not considered to be an expert on this item, so please feel free to ask questions before you bid. I will do my best to answer all questions. Ebay’s shipping calculator is for reference only, it is not the gospel. If you see a shipping price that looks unreasonable please feel free to contact me. I charge actual shipping and crating cost, what it cost me is what you pay. I have experience with shipping larger heavy items with good success, but it takes time to prepare them so please be patient. I am always willing to build a wooden shipping crate/container to help your item avoid damages, but please note this option takes extra time and is not free of charge. Overseas buyers are always welcome but are required to pay using Paypal and higher shipping rates will naturally apply. All items must be paid for in full within 7 days from auction end date. Items left at our location over 30 days will be relisted regardless of payment, unless prior arrangements have been made.
