SPECS ENGINE - 454 TRANS - MODIFIED 700R4 REBUILT 208 TRANSFER CASE FACTORY DANA 40 FRONT DIFFERENTIAL DETROIT LOCKER REAR This is my 1985 Chevy Silverado K10 pickup. I am the 2nd owner of this truck. The 1st owner replaced the original 350 with a 454. I don't know how many miles were on the motor prior to installation but I have only put 24K miles on it since I purchased it in 1995.I had true dual exhaust with 3" pipes and turbo 40 series mufflers installed 1 month later. In 96 I had the 700R4 trans built. It has a lockup converter and you can feel it shift like a 5 speed. My mechanic replaced the transfer case and rear in 2001. The rear is now a Detroit locker with 410 gears not the original 411's The shop refused to fix the mistake. I compensated for this by running 33x12.5x15 tires on the rear an 31x10.5x15's on the front with no transfer case binding. I had the front hubs serviced in 2005. I just installed a new Edelbrock 1406 (600cfm) carb and air filter along with new cap, rotor, plugs and wires. The master dylinder and brake booster are about 1 year old. The rear brakes are barely working. It probably needs the perportioning valve replaced. Front brakes work fine. The AC is hooked up but needs to be recharged. The tires have 70%+ tread left on them. The seat is a bench/bucket with a fold down center that could use recovering. When I had it recovered in 98 I had high density foam installed. The storage lid will need a new hinge. The headliner is sagging and the rear sliding window latch just broke. The drivers side power window motor just quit working. The tail gate latch does not work and there are 2 small dents (see pic) on the tail gate. The truck has dual tanks but the right tank and bracket have rusted out. I just installed a new tank, brackets and sending unit on the drivers side. The truck runs strong but need tlc and someone that has the time to give it. The bottom of the doors and cab corners are rusted which is normal for older Chevy pickups. The floors are ok. Replacement parts are still available. The front wheel wells are also rusted. The hood has surface rust. The fenders and bed are rust free. The sleeper cap has a foldable bed with storage underneath. The door can lock but I never had the key. This truck is sold as is with no warrenty. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I have a clean title and will sign it over as soon as funds have cleared. I'm sure I have forgotten to mention something so please ask any questions prior to bidding. This truck is definately repairable or if you have a truck with a blown engine or driveline parts, this would also make a great donor vehicle.
