Vehicle Detail

Rare, top-of-the-line 1969 Rambler Ambassador SST 3-seat station wagon, Texas car since new, 55,900 actual miles, 99% rust-free--a few rust bubbles here and there (lower corners of tail gate are the worst spots, half-dollar sized), rare "black mink" paint which was a factory option in 1969. If you look closely, it has tiny gold specks, but you have to look very closely. No dents, solid floors and frame, newly reupholstered front seat, rear seat is original vinyl, door panels and dashboard are beautiful. No engine (had a 390), but still has the automatic transmission and the factory dual exhaust system which is in good shape. Front and rear bumpers are very, very nice. I have the missing horizontal strip for middle of grille. No engine, due to an engine fire, so this car will need a new front wiring harness for everything under the hood, and all components attached to the firewall will need to be replaced due to fire damage--fuel filter came apart while car was running. Paint on hood is ruined, but the rest of the paint is very nice. Lots of accessories, such as clock, original AM radio, tilt steering wheel, 3rd seat in rear, two-way tail gate, chrome roof rack, factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, front & rear speakers, power tailgate window (works), reclining 50/50 front seats, front bumper guards. With only 55,000 miles, the seat springs and door panels and front end components have very little wear. The tires are like new. Wheels are after-market. The car was originally a flower car for a Dallas funeral home, so it had very little use and whatever use it had was careful.I have the keys for the car, but no title, only a bill of sale. Might be able to get a title from two owners ago, but no guarantees. Excellent for parts or restore it. I have a friend nearby who will sell his 1973 360 AMC V8 and firewall components if needed for this car. Needs to be picked up before November 1, as I am moving after that. I can help load the car. No reserve, high bidder gets it. On Sep-25-10 at 20:32:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the windshield has a couple of cracks, and there is a factory remote control rear view mirror on the driver's door. Except for the blistered paint on the hood, this is a very clean, very good looking car. No cracks in the padded dashboard. I am requesting a $100 deposit from the winning bidder within 48 hours of auction's end, and the balance paid within 7 days of auction's end. Car can stay where it is (indoors) until October 31, but must be moved by then.
