Vehicle Detail

A fabulous 1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL-6.3 Super Saloon with all options including the rare sunroof. This southern California one owner car that NEVER had rust, so the metal is all original, was restored by Karl Midlehauve a well known M-100 restoration shop in 1998-Karl is still in business. The car had a complete comprehensive restoration, including rebuilt engine, transmission, drivetrain, rear differential...... Most every piece was rebuilt or replaced throughout the car. A bare metal paint restoration of the highest quality was completed and is simply fabulous. The interior wood was all restored, the dashboard-perfect, the carpets and the leather interior was not completed during this comprehensive restoration, because the owner was a German Nationtionalist and the Europeans love the old leather- although it was still acceptable, I've decided to finish the interior of the car. It is being restored right now by the best in the business with new black leather hides and Wilton wool carpets, just like the ones in the picture. The beauty was upgraded during restoration with a new modern fuel distribution system (EFI) at a significant cost, to not only make the engine run faster, smoother, but also get almost 20 MPG-the original MFI is in the trunk for the purest. The car is just completing a $35,000 refresh and is ready to drive daily. New Michelin XWX at over $3,000, new valves, suspension pump (2,000), shocks, radiator fan, directional switch alone was $1,000, window switches, every wire and rubber hose replaced under the hood, head cover gasket replaced, drive shaft balanced and new U joint installed, the list goes on and I have all the records. The new owner can talk to Karl M. the mechanic that did the original restoration, if they would like to speak to the Maestro. It would take over $200,000+ to restore a 6.3 to this level today. This is not your Saturday night special for $25,000-6.3 that needs a full restoration, this IS A RESTORED CAR!!!!!!! there a huge difference as we all know. Lets discuss anytime.
