1987 Chrysler New Yorker: No Oil Pressure Rear wheel drive 318 V8 tilt wheel cruise control automatic transmission air shocks all power factory am/fm cassette COLD AIR I have had this car for about 2 1/2 years, but I haven't really been able to drive for a couple of years, so it hasn't been driven for over a year, but started regularly. I started it this summer, and there was no oil pressure, so I shut it off immediately. I bought a new oil pump and gasket kit, but I am currently unable to do the work: It goes with the car. Needs front end alignment and front tires also. Car ran and drove beautifully. AC was very cold. I am unsure of actual mileage. Odometer is showing 99k, but I am sure that it has over 100k miles. Title says 'mileage not required' on the title. Engine ran perfectly with no noises. Transmission fluid and filter was changed and car has had new alternator, water pump, timing chain, and computer since I have owned it. It has a new oil pump and gasket set in the rear seat. No rust on body, decent paint. All glass is good. Exterior chrome is all good with the exception of a couple of flecks of rust on bumper. The interior is nice no cracks on dash, no tears in leather seats, good carpet. The front armrest does have tears. The headliner is saggy and the front center armrest has some tears. Someone took the rear speakers while parked and tore up the carpet on the rear package shelf. The vinyl top is starting to show some small cracks. Everything worked when parked, with the exception of a couple of sticky power lock switches that were needing cleaned. My aunt owned this car and it was garage kept for 20 years and well maintained. I am describing the car honestly and to the best of my knowledge, however there may be the usual minor defects with a car this age: minor weatherstripping problems, wear, gremlins, etc. This is not a car that can be driven away: But with a little work this 24 year old beauty would make someone a great car, or could be used as *shudder* a parts car.
