Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback. I am the third owner and bought the car from a family friend. The car was sitting over a gravel driveway for over ten years and the body has severe rust. The floor pans are virtually rusted out and the whole thing needs a frame up restoration. The original color is Ivy green with deluxe interior or Pony interior (Parchment/Ivy gold) and a full floor console. The interior is in excellent condition and only needs to be cleaned, no rips or tears. The headliner is torn and the dash around the radio is hacked up. The motor is a two barrel, 289 V-8 with power steering. I replaced the water pump, solenoid, alternator, thermostat, belts and all hoses. The engine starts, runs and the car can be driven forward and reverse. All the lights work as does the dash and gauges. The car has manual drum brakes but need a new master cylinder. The transmission is an automatic and the rear is a standard “open rear”. All the glass is good and all the trim and emblems are still on the car, the windows roll down and the rear vents open and close. The only thing missing from this car is the lower front valance panel and the front bumper. I am not interested in trades and will not take less then the starting bid, so please do not ask. The buyer must arrange for the car to be transported, I will assist as best as I can. The deposit of $500.00 is non returnable and must be received within 48 hours of the closing sale. Upon arrival for pick up I will accept cash or a postal money order. If you decide after seeing the car you do not want to purchase it I will keep you deposit and release you of your obligation. The car must be taken within one week of the auction close. I have quite a few new parts still in boxes that I can negotiate at time of pick up, also I apologize for the mix of photos, some are earlier and some are more recent, I will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge, if you are an expert and have detailed questions I will work with you as best as I can to get you the answer you are asking.
