Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a no reserve auction. I have vehicle listed locally and have right to sell it prior to auction close or if someone contacts me with a good enough offer prior to close. So if its gone when auction ends, I apologize. We are a Non-Smoking family and vehicle has never been smoked in. We are the second owners and have had the SUV since 2008. I purchased it almost brand new with around 10K miles from a guy that had to relocate overseas. It is a garage kept vehicle. You will not be disappointed with this QX56. It has normal wear for a 2 year old vehicle but nothing obvious or in need of cosmetic repair. The Interior and exterior are IN EXCELLENT condition. I am a perfectionist (I am a coating's specialist) when it comes to inspecting vehicles that I purchase, so I will give you a walk around from my point of view. Upon inspection of the exterior you will find a few rock chips, no dings, on front bumper and hood. Upon inspecting the quarter panels, the rear lift gate, the rear bumper, roof and driver's side doors, you will find no paint flaws. On the passenger side doors there is one ding that is nearly invisible above passenger door handle and a light scratch to clear coat on the passenger rear door about door handle high. I have no scratches to primer on vehicle so any scratches you find could be buffed out. There are four plastic splashguards around the fenderwells. These splashguards flex alot from movement and infiniti didn't do a good job on the paint adhesion for the plastic. As a result, you will find some minor chips on three of them where the guard meets the metal quarter panels. Again, barely noticeable, and nothing above normal. Upon inspection of interior you will not find any excessive wear areas on the black carpet, black leather, wood grain, painted plastic or anywhere else. You may find a few light scratches on leather but no obvious blemishes, wear marks or tears anywhere. OK. I'm going to bore you with my annoyances in buying cars so you will understand my integrity as a seller and just who you are dealing with: It annoys me greatly when I shop for vehicles and find a cosmetic blemish in a vehicle that looks like the owner wore sunscreen that eats away painted plastic or took sandpaper or paint remover to an area on the interior of the car. OK for some examples of my past experiences on other vehicles (NOT my QX56 listed here): For example, I recently test drove a 2009 $51K FX50 in Florida at a dealer's lot. The FX50 had the wood trim cracked and hanging off the door. I was appalled that anyone could sell something which such obvious cosmetic issues and I walked off the lot. I will not sell you something that I'm not accurate on regarding condition. Another example, one time I sold a Nissan Armada on Ebay. It was immaculate. My wife accidentally closed the garage door on the back lift gate the day after I sold it and scratched the paint down to the primer. I took the vehicle to the body shop and had the whole lift gate repainted in order to make good on the condition of vehicle as sold. Another example. I bought a Landcruiser 6 years ago on Ebay. When it got delivered it looked like the vehicle had been under water as all the steel seat frames were rusting. I get sick of people that don't tell you what you are getting. OK, one final story. I bought a Lexus 470 from a doctor in MA in 2007 on ebay. It was showroom clean and perfect. They guy must have worshiped the car. But it had deep key scratches on all 4 doors down length of vehicle on both sides. They guy assured me and sent over 50 pictures of vehicle prior to delivery of the paint job. I couldn't see the scratches in the pics, as you never can. When vehicle arrived, I called the Doc about the key marks down doors and he said it must have happened on the shippers truck. I called the shipper and he said that if it happened on his watch, then it happened while he was asleep someone climbed up on his car hauler and keyed it. Needless to say, it cost me around $1000 to repaint all four doors on my dime. Again, read my description in previous paragraph of vehicles description, it is not showroom condition. But it is near showroom condition. All service for this QX56 is current and documented with our local Infiniti Dealership. I just took it to shop and had it fully serviced and all issues checked and fixed. They turned rotors, replaced battery, fixed recalls and some other petty items. The tires have around 30,000 miles on them. They probably need to be replaced in next 5-10K miles. I would change them but it seems like everyone has there preference on both tires and wheels. I am riding on Yokahoma which I love. You may want to throw on 21's or some tire of your preference so I'm skipping on tires. Exception would be for someone who wants me to put new tires of their choice on vehicle based on a deal we work out prior to auction close since it is for sale outside of the auction. This is my 3rd QX56 to own and has been the best yet. My first two QX56's were the 2004 and 2005 models that lacked the upgrades that Infiniti was needed to stay competitive in the market. They finally got it right in 2008 as prior to 2008 they rode too much like a Nissan Armada. I waited for the 2008 model before I purchased my third QX56 due to the needed update of the interior features, the exterior power folding mirrors and the smoother suspension to keep up with domestic competition. I'm pretty certain that the The 2008-2010 are identical on the interior and exterior as I just rented a 2010 from Hertz last week. I know for a fact that the 2004-2007 are identical. I have mixed emotions about the new 2011 body style as it looks like Infiniti crosslinked an FX50 with a Toyota Landcruiser. This one is fully loaded and is my favorite color combination with Silver Exterior and Black interior. I previously owned black on black, white on wheat and swore I would never own a pearl white vehicle again due to touch up issues. I tried to better my Infiniti experience for a Lexus in 2007 prior to buying this QX56 with a Lexus 470. Needless to say, Lexus doesn't hold a candle to the QX56. I am selling to upgrade to a 2009 or 2010 FX 50 since I no longer need the 3rd Row. My QX56 is loaded with the following.
