No matter how much money you spend restoring an old car to make it "perfect" it will only be original once. If you are looking for an unrestored original in good condition, not pieced together, then this is that car. This Chevy Impala is an original black plate California car with its original Azure Aqua 918 code paint. The body is straight with some bumps and bruises, notably a dent on the trunk lid (trunk still opens and closes fine) but no hidden rust. The interior still has the original car smell which cannot be found in the perfectly restored cars. The interior is near flawless except the seat cover has come unstitched on the passenger side. Even the original radio works, although the original speakers do crackle a bit. One flaw is that the key no longer opens the driver side door lock. (The door opens and closes fine from both inside and outside, but it only locks and unlocks from the inside) Passenger side lock works fine. Car starts right up, runs well and drives very smooth. 283 engine, powerglide transmission, power steering. New gas tank, new exhaust. All doors, hood and trunk open and close with ease. Windows roll up and down fine as well. Trunk and floors are solid. Lights, turn signal, horn, wipers, heater, fan, radio all work, interior dome lights still come on when you open the doors.
