Always garaged, well maintained and having spent the last 20 Winters in Florida, this Rust-Free car is in NICE OVERALL CONDITION for it?s age. Mechanically, the car starts every time, RUNS GREAT and is surprisingly FAST for a big luxury automobile. The trans shifts smoothly, the ride is very comfortable, the tires and rims look new and the car drives straight down the road. The heavy duty 850 amp battery looks new. The former Owner said the A/C worked last year but it didn?t feel cold when I tried it (probably needs a recharge ?). Overall, the car is dependable and there are no leaks, smoke or unusual engine noises to worry about. The power windows work but the driver?s side rear window needs help closing. The doorlocks only work manually (the driver?s door does lock & unlock with the key). The power seats work fine although the driver?s seat sags to one side a little (weak or broken spring ?). The passenger?s power outside mirror doesn?t work and must have been broken because it?s trim has been screwed back together. The sunroof tries to open but doesn?t. None of these items affects the driveability or overall appearance of the car... The BODY is in GOOD CONDITION and is virtually rust-free !! The stock paint still has a nice shine to it. There are a few noticeable door dings and scratches and the paint is a little dull on the upper rear passengers fender - which might buff out. The INTERIOR looks decent in the pictures? But a closer look shows the dash and the center console wood trim are cracked - I?m sure due to the hot Florida sun. The seats have a few tears in them from the previous owner?s small dog. The carpet is clean and not worn. The driver's seat has a weak or broken spring and it sags to one side a bit. All the glass is good with NO chips or cracks. This was a $50,000 car new and this one has low miles for a 24 year old Mercedes. Included in this auction are 2 Mercedes CD?s with Owner?s manual and technical service manuals on them, an original 420SEL Hood Emblem Due to it?s age, This car is sold AS IS ?
