I have come to the conclusion that i just wont have time to restore this one. The body is very nice for its age it has spent the last 20yrs with a 427 sideoiler in it and drag raced in Alabama. I have taken 427 out and put it in another custom 300 i have. I have replaced the engine with a 428 .030 block, forged trw pistons, 10/10 1UB crank, comp cams 280h cam, 427 lowriser heads c3ae-c i beleive, edelbrock F-427 alum intake and a holley 750 carb and mallory dual point ignition. It has a TCI- C6 from jegs in it and a 2400 stall converter in it, crites crossmember and motor mounts. we put new dual master cylinder and porportioning valve in it and then we pretty much quit and here we are 5yrs later. I have invested over $30k in the 427 engine alone i took out of this car for my other, so this car will never get restored no more$$$$ to do 2- 57 fords!!!!!! Car has New front windsheild, New rear window, and some of the side glass is new also, new rubbers in front and rear also. New re-chromed front and rear bumpers Grill is exellent New front BFG tires with at the time NOS ford Cragar S/S FRONT wheels, not the uni-lug kind!!! the ones only made for ford and drum brakes. The rear wheels are ok they were just good used cragars, rear tires are a bit big they are 255/60/15 it needs 245's as they do rub. The rear quarter panel lips are rolled to accomadate bigger tires. Front fenders are very solid no rust or patches that i can see. Quarters are the same as the front fenders you can put your hands down the inside of the trunk and feel nothing nice and solid. Doors have a few small pimples coming thriugh the front corners. Trunk is as solid as you could expect very nice no problems. Look at the rockers in the pics it is coming through a bit there easy fix EMS auto has everything you need. ALL THE BODY MOUNTS ARE EXELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN THE REAR ONE UNDER THE REAR BUMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interior.,..... look at the pics it is presentable and in decent shape THE BAD!!!!!! Car has been sitting, new brakes were never bleed( fronts done need to do rears), and it has old gas and a leaking c-6 (pan gasket/filler tube o ring) Some one bought nice floor pans from EMS and just tacked them in. good part is is they didnt come close to butchering the floors they left alot of the originals and took just enough out to let the new rears fall through the hole, and the fronts to overlap on top this is the only major thing i see that was done piss poor and it has been that way for a long time. Needs exhaust, we cut the mufflers out when we did the cross member, weld mufflers back in with a ft of 2 inch pipe and you are ready to go. PAINT is over 30yrs old so i was told, and i beleive it!!!!! it looks great going down the road and good untill you get 5ft from it then you see the chips and dings here and there the car is actually very strait!!!!!! On Sep-11-10 at 20:02:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention we put a new gas tank in it also it was $349.00, also the other rocker on the pass side also has a few pimples and there is some bubbles on the top roof drip rail where it had a chip, moisture got under the paint this was all pointed out buy a guy that came to look at the car before he bid and said it was represented well. no surprises he would of been upset about, he offered me $8000.00 cash to buy the car, I declined. The reserve was met and i dont beleive in ending auctions when reserves are met as the high bidder is technically the owner. Who ever buys the car i strongly recommed you come look at it, or pick it up in person if there is somethig that i truley mis-represented then i wont hold you to buying the car. It is a driver!!!! and was done 30 years ago and not a show car by any mean's BUT!!!! buy the peices for the engine and tranny and put it together and i guarentee you will have 4k in the drive line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats leaves you 3500 in the body that is how i look at it I want to sell the car as a whole i have had 10 emails wanting to buy the car only so............ If you do not want the engine and tranny i will pull it out and take $1500.00 off the bid so obviously i dont want the engine and tranny laying around i have plenty already and im trying to get rid of stuff i dont need at this point in time.
