1953 Chevy 3100 Series Truck 327-300 V-8 Automatic Rat Rod Cheap!!!!! Hello Folks and what we have up for auction today is really a great ole chevy rat rod truck to restore. this truck has a 327ci 300 horse chevy V-8 engine that runs great. the block casting number is #870 and dated january 1963 and the heads are casted #461 X dated december 1962. the 327 has had a recent rering job with rings, bearings, oil pump, timing set, genuine gm green band factory 300 horse camshaft, hyd. lifters, valves lapped in the heads, gaskets, seals, pumps { water and fuel }, filters, rebuilt distributor, rebuilt rochester q-jet 4 bbl. carburator, fuel hoses, gas line, and gas tank cleaned and lined with sealer. the engine holds good oil preasure hot at idle and sounds really good. the truck has duel exhaust with old style truck mufflers that has that good ole sound to it. the charging system works and is a 12 volt generator set-up. the transmission is a turbo 350 automatic and works good. the truck has converted to 5 lugs in the front and rear using a 1955-1957 chevy car rear end and what i think is 1950 chevy front hubs. the wheels are 5 lug corvette ralleys with the flat taxi cab center caps. the tires has good tread but the side walls are dry cracked. the brakes are drums in all 4 corners and it does have a full pedal but they need to be gone thru and replaced along with the flexible hoses as they are weather cracked and very old. the truck runs, drives, and stops but it has been off the road for about 10 years so please bring a trailor to pick the truck up. we have only driven it around in the yard and up the road very short distances, i do not trust the brakes much and the emergency brake does not work so you get the idea. this is a super makings of a street rod truck or do some restore work, paint your garage name on the doors and make a great shop truck. the headlites and tail lites do work but the turn signals are not. the body is in pretty desent shape with the normal cab corner holes and cracks in the rear fenders. the floors are not to bad with rust holes in the corners { please look at the pictures } the rocker panels are good and the running boards are too. the bed floor has had metal welded in to replace the wood. the truck has 1951 doors put on it being the reason for the turn down handles with a vent glass. the truck has a clean clear title in hand. this is a great truck to restore and is reserved very very low so bid to win. please look at all the pictures and ask all questions that you have and i'll get back to you as soon as possible. all items are sold as is, where is. cash in hand in person upon pick up of vehicle. pick up of vehicle is due within 7 days of auction end. please look at my feedback and bid with confidence, good luck and happy bidding, thanks
