Vehicle Detail

1967 Pontiac Bonneville Wagon. My father bought this car brand new, and I took ownership in 1981. I was going to restore this myself at one time, but I don't have the time any more. 400 4-bbl. With 10.5:1 compression ratio, Turbo-400 auto transmission, bench seats, Power Steering, Power Brakes, tilt wheel, AM radio. 400 cu. in. engine (engine code XW) was professionally rebuilt by Precision Engineering in 1987 (see scanned document) but has never been run. We have all the parts for the engine including the alternator and brackets, the carburetor (a Carter AFB which will need a rebuild), distributor, fuel pump, fan and shroud, and original air cleaner. We also have the original valve covers. We put on the M/T valve covers when the original covers started leaking (the originals may be warped). Body has original paint with rust & Bondo on the right rear quarter panel (the area with the spare tire). Also the lower edge of the right rear window has rust, as does the inside rear of the rear door jambs (both sides). Glass is in good shape. Rear window in tailgate worked the last time we tried it (some 20+ years ago). Gas tank was removed to have a leak repaired but has not been remounted. All trim is included as well as the original hub caps. Also included is a new, unopened hood pad. Interior good but shows minor wear, especially the arm rests on the driver and passenger doors. Dash pad is intact. We have good documentation for this vehicle, including the original bill of sale, the original title, and the original Protect-O-Plate. Known issues: Transmission will probably need a rebuild since it was slipping. Poor tires. Transmission cross-member tab is rusted off on the driver side. The frame rails were supposedly replaced in the 1980's, but it appears the old rails were actually wrapped. The exhaust system is broken. The left side rear lower control arm is broken at the bushing. The glove compartment key was lost at the dealer during a repair years ago, but it is unlocked. The factory clock does not work. The radio antenna is not original. The driver door will not open...it seems the linkage came off for the exterior and interior handles. The bumper jack and spare are missing. Extras: I have some extra 1967 nose pieces (from a Catalina), as well as some extra tail light assemblies. The roof rack is from a 1967 Catalina wagon and was not original to this vehicle and was never mounted on this vehicle. Oil pressure gauge. Electric cooling fan. One extra set of quarter panel “Bonneville” letters. Buyer responsible for all shipping arrangements and payments. Car will not be released until all payments have cleared your bank, this includes bank and cashiers checks. Early inspections are welcome (weekends preferred). Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction. A $500.00 deposit (or the selling price if the winning bid is less than $500.00) via PayPal due in 72 hours. Balance due in 2 weeks and must be paid via PayPal or cashiers check. Car must be picked up in 30 days. Thanks for looking!Additional photos at: http://www.synthsource.com/pontiac/ On Sep-11-10 at 06:31:30 PDT, seller added the following information:In response to the question,"Does the motor turn over?", I'm glad to report I was able to turn it over easily with a breaker bar and a socket on the harmonic balancer. First I removed all the spark plugs, then I squirted oil in each cylinder, and then I turned the engine three revolutions with the breaker bar (I probably could have used a socked wrench just as easily). Also, there were no scraping sounds, so I'm assuming there is no rust in the cylinders.
