Vehicle Detail
Hello, Up for auction today at NO RESERVE I have a nice Isuzu Trooper LS with just over 76,000 miles on it. Its an automatic, v6, All wheel drive, Power everything. The color is a two tone champagne silver, the paint is in above average condition, and still shines like new, there are a few minor scratches here and there as to be expected on any 9 year old car, but hardly any to mention. The interior is as well in above average condition, with no rips, stains or odd smells, the only blemish being one of the release knobs for the fold down rear seats looks to have been chewed by a dog, or maybe hungry baby, im not sure. Either way it still functions as it should as does everything else in the interior. Im a licensed dealer in the state of Massachusetts and took this vehicle in trade with a bad transmission last fall, I had a new one installed (about a year left on the warranty) and used it as a personal vehicle all winter. It has newer BF Goodrich tires so this Trooper will go threw anything! It was a pleasure to have in my drive way on snowy mornings. But alas, as my wife says im in the car "selling" business not the car "keeping" business, so the Trooper's got to go. The truck runs and drives great but recently the check engine light did come on. Code P1280, which is a TPS indicator (Throttle Positioning Sensor). I replace the sensor at a cost of only $25 bucks or so, but the light remained on. Not sure what it is but it doesnt affect how it drives, and I currently don't have the time to trouble shoot it.... bigger fish to fry. The Trooper is located at my home in shelburne falls Ma. If your in the area please feel free to drop by and take it for a spin. Thanks for looking and have a great day!Marc CarcioBerkshire Auto Sales413-325-6460On Sep-06-10 at 10:21:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I just wanted to make sure bidders knew that a car with a check engine light on will not pass inspection in the state of Massachusetts, not sure of the rules in your state but just wanted to make sure everyone was aware. Any questions dont hesitate to ask! Thanks! On Sep-08-10 at 13:42:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again everybody, Im getting allot of questions regarding the T.O.D. (torque on demand) system, its basically another name for an All wheel drive system so I did some investigating. On the dash there is an AUTO AWD button. When that is engaged the truck is driving in all wheel drive, on the left side of the instrument cluster there is a picture representing the 4 wheels of the truck, above the picture is has the acronym TOD. When in AUTO AWD the back tires on the picture light up and the front tires light up when power is called for from the front wheels. When in snow or a dirt road, or any slippery condition for example. In AUTO AWD everything was as it should be. This is the configuration I ran it, and is really the only configuration you need. Then earlier today a bidder asked me what happened in two wheel drive, when the AUTO AWD button was NOT engaged. I never ran it like this so I went for a drive. The truck ran just as you would expect, like normal, but the back tires in the picture on the dash were blinking, and after about 5 minutes or so a red check light came on under the picture of blinking rear tires. I would then reengage the AUTO AWD button and all would go back to normal. Let me repeat, I would reengage the AUTO AWD button and all would go back to normal. What does it all mean? Im not sure. But I am sure that in AUTO AWD it runs great with no 'idiot' light illuminating, and in 2WD it runs great as well but for what ever reason a light are coming on.
