This is really a great car. This 1966 Thunderbird was last driven in 1985. The car had a water pump go out in it. The pump was purchased in 85 with factory ford logos, but still remains in the trunk today. The car was then parked in the barn covered up until a week ago when the owner decided it was time for it to go. The Thunderbird has the original California Black Plates. One of the coolest things we found in the car was the Original 1966 Thunderbird OWNERS MANUAL - it is so cool (we took pictures, check listing) inside the front cover is typed out: The VIN# of the car - The Original Owner of the car - The Owners Address - The date the car was first purchased - and stamped in it is BROADWAY MOTORS, OAKLAND the place the car was first sold. The car has a break-away steering wheel According to the Vin# it has a : 390, 4v, c6 automatic, 2 door town hard top, blind quarter, roof painted car. While the vin states: Exterior SAGE GOLD - interiorr GOLD - the car in and out look more like pale-olive green a very common Ford color for that time period. Everything is Original on this car: The interior, exterior, engine and paint. including the 111,345 miles on the odometer and the keys While the car was originally made in Minnesota, it has spent its life on the road only in California. The car has no problems with rust. There is a few spots with surface rust, but nothing serious. The car has never been wrecked and only has a few dings on the car, nothing major. The roughest part of the car is the drivers door inside. It definately needs work. Im listing this car for the owner he's about 80 now and needs to get rid of it. I need to mention too, The carpet in the car was removed when the car was parked because the owner was worried the car would collect moisture and cause the car to rust.
